This is a pretty cookie cutter group Rathma's "Rat" run spec. It works in 2, 3, or 4 player groups. This build REQUIRES a zNecro feeding you orbs.


This build will not work solo at all. Ever. It's a group build that requires your "z" players (zero dps, aka support) to help fuel your damage.


For gems you can run Topaz (int) for more damage, or Diamond (Resist) for more toughness. Once you are comfortable with the spec you should probably stick with Topaz.


Group Comp:

This build is meant to be played in a group consisting of 1 zDPS necro, 1zDPS Barb, and 2 "Rat" Necros. This is the Rat build that you take two of. The Necro's should talk about curses and each run a different curse.


Frailty - Scent of Blood is priority 1

Decrepify - Borrowed Time OR Leech - Transmittable -- both have their place, Borrowed time will give more over all dps, Leech will give more toughness. Remember that if you're dead you do 0 (zero, nodda, zilch) dps. I use Leech with more novice groups where the zNecro seems squishy.


This build will also work in 2s and 3s. In 2s you want to take a zNecro with you, in 3s you can push higher with a zNec and zBarb, or you can speed faster with double Rats and a zNecro.


With just 1 good zNecro this build can carry two other players in 100s in 4-5 mins once you get decent augmented gear. The damage output is insane.


Highlights:
Drop Frailty on everything in sight. The more enemies you have cursed the more damage you do. 1% for each cursed enemy from your Spreading Malediction Passive. You also get huge damage reduction from Dayntee's Belt. Up to 50%. Keep cursing everything.

Bone Armor - Dislocation - The stun procs 300% damage from Krysbins Ring. It also gives you 400% damage from Scythe of the Cycle.
-- If you're using Jesseth combo, replace Bone Armor with Command Skeleton for the 400% damage bonus.

Cast Skeletal Mage only when at full essence. Should be at full essence all the time if you have a decent zNecro feeding you some drank (potions, lots of potions).


Stats:
Maximum essence in every slot you can get it over any other stat.

Character Sheet damage = Mages do more damage. They don't attack faster with attack speed, but attack speed makes your sheet damage go up, which makes your Mages hit harder. Anything that raises your character sheet damage is a good thing. Only Tasker and Theo increase Mage attack speed.
