Build Guide

Engineered version of common build by GOBLIN ENGINEERING!

It will be a basic to advanced guide on barbarian immortal king set on season 12 using hammer of the ancient skill.

I need to mention this build is 99% same as common HotA 6IK builds around, but what makes it viable is that I tried to cover every point that you may need to check,so with 1 guide( that will be edited later as I read comments and feedback) you can be sure about how to play this. so please remember that if there be a credit for this build I am not linking it to myself, by playing barb this season and by testing I made a few changes and made a better understanding for new players too here.


Powers:

-Mobile
-Good mitigation to survive higher GR
-Acceptable damage
-provides support to other teammates
-Can be solo or in team

Weakness:

-Mele
-Not a fast clearer
-Needs to grind on good gear to do 90-110
-Needs to monitor some buffs to have the mitigation up

Right now this is like second build for barb on leader board and by more combined meta builds, can go to 3rd or 4rd place, yet best build to start doing GR as you find about your taste and items.

Barb is strong on armor and by tuning enough resistance and life on your gear you can survive almost every situation and have enough time to escape from certain death.by changing on your skills you can make it a faster build to farm normal rift or bounties.now let's take a look on gems and stats.


Diamond on torso and leg

Amethyst on helm

Emeralds on weapons


Legendary gems:

Bane of trapped and stricken will be almost always there

in early gearing you can use esoteric of alteration for mitigation/ yet on higher GR can be used if you find yourself dying lots of time.


Stats:

You will need 900k-1m+ life to do 90+ GR and it is easy to obtain without needing on much paragon.

You need maximum fury on your paragons,because of HotA skill that gets extra CHC from amount of maximum fury.

75% is a minimum for resistances and you can change the warcry to impunity for 20% extra resistances(won't add 20% to total % but boosts it nicely)

Ideal CHC is 50%+ and for CHD is 550%+ both unbuffed.

You will have some dodge there that can be lovely,still you have enough mitigation if rng fails.( like 500M+leech)

Important to have life per fury on belt( or weapon if you are not lucky on BIS weapons)

Fire skill on bracer+ if you can't get CHD and CHC on amulet and rings. on weapon you can aim for max fire damage.


Game play and rotations:

You need to have all 3 ancients alive all the time.

You need to have warcry buff up all the time.

You need battle rage buff up all the time.

You need to keep charge used every 5-8 second while you are in combat.

You need wrath of the berserker buff up to 100%


Now some tips to make it easier to monitor and handle all the buffs without being stressed! first of all, we are using zodiac ring so it is important to let the ring reduce CD of the spell that we need much in dangerous situations, to do it you will need to refresh warcry and battle rage only 2-3 seconds before they expire. berserket buff will be up as long as you use HotA skill, so by this combination you can almost use charge all the time without being worry about it's CD,use it to keep the buff of your ring up and also to manage to position yourself out of ground debuff. remember that your ideal position is not in center of mobs! you need to attack them from a corner of their stack so your HotA keeps you on max fury all the time.


Amulet: I recommend to use rampage there, yet you can change other skills based on what type of amulet you get, for harder GR you can drop the rage for more mitigation passives like relentless. but on higher GR you mostly need more damage and sometimes you may drop even the nerves of steel for more damage! by practicing enough you can be immortal to death and only challenge will be time of a GR.

Rings: I recommend to use convention and might on gear and zodiac on cube, yet it depends on your drop chance and if there be more benefits for you to change them between cube it is ok. Zodiac will make your life so easy that you never will be worry about your CDs.


Optional skills:

you can change the charge with stomp( Wrenching smash) to have easier control on mobs, or use leap instead to have more mobility ( death from above and then parthan defender on cube)

Also you can completely replace the warcry to stomp/leap/threatening shot(Falter) or Ancient spear(supporting in stacking mobs) for more utility and damage on easier contents or while playing in team.
