Build Guide

Hi and welcome to this M6 Nades guide for Season 12 !

My name is Väliûm, current Rank 1 DH NA with a 109 clear !
I'll try and take you step by step through this build which, I feel, has much more potential than N6M4 and can probably clear, with perfect gear and over 3k paragon, GR 114+

This build is made for facetanking, which requires A LOT of toughness and great health pool management. You will be playing with death, but it's a very satisfying experience !

The Basics

- ALWAYS have 5 sentries out to maximize your 6P Marauder effect.
- ALWAYS stand under one of your sentries during a fight to give you more toughness.
- Keep your Wraps of Clarity proc up during fights, especially when standing still.
- Dump all of your hatred between the last second of the cold cycle and the end of the fire cycle.
- Stand face to face with the enemy(s) you want to kill. The further away you are, the less damage you'll do.
- Maximize the efficiency of oculus rings by standing in them whenever you can, and making them appear a few seconds before fire cycle.
- Try to manage your ressources properly, you should never run out of Hatred before a fire cycle or out of discipline except when skipping elites.
- This build requires LOTS of density, don't bother with 2-3 mobs, try to aggro everything you can before nuking it all down.
- 36.5% Cooldown Reduction is what you need for permanent Vengeance, however two 8% CDR rolls will give you 32%, which will leave you with 1 second downtime on Vengeance. Gear yourself accordingly.
- Always use a good Manticore over a good Dawn. Manticore is a slower weapon = more damage per cluster arrow = more damage per grenade bounce. All in all, with equal damage, a Manticore will dish out 10-15% DPS over a Dawn.

Stat Priorities

- Helmet : Dexterity / Socket / Cluster Arrow % / Critical Hit Chance > Vitality
- Amulet : Fire Elemental % / Socket / Critical Hit Damage / Critical Hit Chance > Dexterity
- Shoulders : Dexterity / Area Damage / Cooldown Reduction / Vitality > Ressource Cost Reduction
- Chest : Dexterity / Vitality / 3xSocket / All Resistance > Life% > Reduced Elite Dmg
- Gloves : Critical Hit Chance / Critical Hit Damage / Area Damage / Dexterity > Cooldown Reduction > Ressource Cost Reduction
- Belt : Dexterity / Vitality / All Resistance > Life% > Armor. Highest roll possible on both Zoey and Hellcat passives.
- Bracers : Fire Elemental % / Dexterity / Vitality / Critical Hit Chance. Highest roll possible on the passive.
- Legs : Dexterity / Vitality / All Resistance > Armor
- Boots : Dexterity / Vitality / Cluster Arrow % / All Resistance > Armor > Movement Speed
- Weapon : Dexterity / 10% DMG / Area Damage / Socket. Highest roll possible on passive.
- Quiver : Dexterity / Attack Speed / Critical Hit Chance / Cluster Arrow % / Area Damage / Cooldown Reduction.
- Compass Rose : Damage Range (110-210) / Critical Hit Chance / Critical Hit Damage / Socket / Area Damage > Dexterity
- Unity : Critical Hit Chance / Critical Hit Damage / Socket. Highest roll possible on Elite Damage.

Other Gearing / Stat / Passive Options :

- Weapon : You can replace Area Damage for Elite Damage, Life on Hit or even Cooldown Reduction if you feel like you're lacking in that department (none on shoulders / Quiver)
- Rings : If you aren't able to find a well rolled Compass Rose, you can sacrifice certain rolls. The main ones you want are the CHC and CHD, as long as you have those two you're fine.
- Leech Passive : You can swap that one out if you have Life on Hit on your Manticore and use : Ambush / Awareness / Thrill of the Hunt instead.
- Guardian Sentry : Can be replaced by Polar Station if you feel like you're tanky enough, or if you want to play a little further back.

Focus / Restraint combo : This set is possible to use alongside a Hellfire. Did some testing yesterday, this combo will be less effecient at lower paragons but a very good option when you start reaching 2k+ paragon. Replace CoE in cube with unity if you want toughness, or keep CoE to dish out MONSTER damage. You'll also need to swap out guardian sentry for polar station since you won't be face tanking anymore.

Templar Setup :

- Weapon : Eun-Jang-Do
- Relic : Enchanting Favor
- Shield : Freeze of Deflection
- Rings : Unity and Oculus Ring
- Amulet : Ess of Johan

Gemming :

- Diamonds in helm
- Diamonds in armor (this will buff your esoteric and make it even more worthwhile)

In-Depth Tips and Tricks :

- The cluster arrow does damage in a straight line in front of you, meaning that your initial damage will be aimed at the enemies right ahead of you. Once the grenade procs start happening thanks to the Hellcat Waistguard, the mobs on the flanks will start melting away. The objective when packing mobs is to have them herded right in front of you, try and maximize the density in the smallest area possible. This can be done using your pets and your templar to their maximum, and by trying as best you can to simply circle around the pack to stop it from spreading out.
- Pylons and Rift Layouts are essential to how successful you will be during your fishing attempts. You NEED maps with dense mob spawns such as :
Festering Woods / Battlefields of Eternity. These two maps are great for M6 Sentry and will allow you to really push as high as you can.
- Maximize your CoE and Oculus ring procs ! This is VITAL to pushing the highest Greater Rifts. During your physical rotation kill a mob to create an oculus zone, and then stand in it 3 seconds before the fire cycle begins. 1 second before the fire cycle spam cluster arrow until the fire cycle is done. Rinse and repeat.
- Always try to preemptively drop a sentry on top of your oculus zones so that you can efficiently use the zone instead of wasting time when you're standing on it.
- Conduit pylons will be your best friends for big elite packs (3+) and will allow you to push much higher than usual. If you find a conduit, scout ahead until you can aggro atleast 2 elite packs, kill all the trash mobs in a couple rotations and then take the pylon to wipe out the elites.
- Power pylons are best used on bosses, pop them as soon as possible, however wait for your cold rotation before clicking the pylon. That way you can get a buffed up fire rotation as soon as you start the power and get 2 more rotations before the pylon times out. That should be enough to kill the boss or get it very near dead.
- Certain bosses will be a huge pain to handle. Bosses that either pack a serious melee punch or teleport around are a nuisance, they'll waste a lot of precious time by either dodging your fire cycles or outright 1 hitting you. Try to stand 2-3 meters back from dangerous bosses in order to prevent dying.
