Kanai's Cube
Hey Guys
This is what I have found to be the best setup so far, the leader boards pretty much agree too.
Overview: Cool Down Reduction!!!!
When using the Akkhan set the aim of the game is the permanent up time of Akarats champion, for that damage and armour boost. You will need to aim for 55-56% CDR. So, where from?
Helm (Diamond Socket) - 12.5% (Effect Doubled from Leorics Crown in the Cube) = 25%
Shoulders - 8% Gloves - 8%
Shield - 8% Weapon - 10%
Rings - 8% x 2 Amulet - 8%
Belt - 8%
Total: - 92%
You can mix and match with how your gear rolls, avoid wasting materials on amulets they are troublesome to get rolled right so don't sweat trying to get CDR on them. To start aim for belt, diamond in helm, shoulders, weapon and shield. Then when you get rings, you can utilise the rolls on Weapon and shield better.
So how does it all work and why are we using it?
Gear Set: Armour of the Akkhan - Head, shoulders, gloves, chest, Amulet...Required.
The buff gives a massive 1500% increased damage and you take 50% less damage while Akarates champion is active, on top of the Akarat champion buff of 35% more damage , greater resource regen and 150% extra armour while. (now do you see why we want so much cool down?)
Resource Feeding:- (Bracers/Boots/Pants) When you start this build you will find that you are very resource hungry, Hexing Pants with Reaper Wraps will help keep you spamming condemn into the early hours but it will be at the cost of damage and manoeuvrability in the long run. Illusory boots and Strongarm Bracers will be the final form of this, more power the the ability to walk out of a pack of mobs when things get hot is a need when you pushing those high GR's.
Belt: Vigilant Belt for the additional CDR or if you can get it elsewhere then go for the Witching hour for that damage buff.
The business end of the build......
Weapon: The Furnace, in its simplest form....a ruddy big hammer! Get an ancient or a Primal version, add a ramalandi's gift for the socket, then a 10% damage roll and you are in business!
Shield: Frydehr's Wrath is so important to this build! This removes the cool down of Condemn making it cost a base of 40 wrath and will buff the damage of it by 800% You will need to get The Blade of Prophecy, this give a damage boost to Condemn of another 800% and the more mobs you have around the more it will proc additional explosions.
CUBE:
Unity.....standard! - if you are bossing it and surviving and just want that extra DPS then a well rolled SOJ or COE is a good shout!
Leorics Crown - (DFans dont seem to have the crowns available..very strange) This is for the double gem effect in you helm.

CORE:-
I like to max out Movement Speed then Maximum Resource as this is a resource hungry build, they just through it all into Stength
Offense:-
Cooldown Reduction then i just fill the gaps from gear.
Defense:-
Armour first as this work well with Akarats Champion then just gear gap fill.
Utility:-
Resource Cost Reduction, as resource hungry build again, then gear gap fiil.

MrKray2, done!
Cubing SOJ doesn't do anything.
tell your exact numbers?
lowering your dmg reduction from 95% to 96% gives you flat 20% dmg reduction which in itself is already worth it. in addition you get the baseline effect of the law at all times.
There is a HUGE difference in the value of every percent point the closer you draw to 100% (100% = immortal)
Even a game like D3 takes you by the hand. Just look at your toughness and see how much toughness you have with and w/o law activated.
Try to think about it that way:
a Mob hits you for 100 dmg.
with 95% dmg reduction you will receive 5 dmg ( 100-95 = 5% incoming dmg)
with 96% dmg reduction you will receive 4 dmg ( 100-96 = 4% incoming dmg)
you lowered your incoming dmg by 1!
1 / 5 = 0.2
0.2 x 100 = 20% less incoming dmg
IMO it helps to always think about your incoming dmg when talking about dmg reduction. that way you will realize how op the new 80% dmg redcution items really are, that 60% dmg reduction is actually much more than 50%, and so on...
well it's 20% dmg reduction. that's just how the math works
it doesnt matter if initial or not. all defense is multiplicative. otherwise you would say ok my first item aquila is 50%dmg reduction and my second item unity is only 25%dmg reduction because my overall dmg reduction would be 75%.
It's just that both those items separately will cut your dmg in half
100 cut in half = 50
50 cut in half = 25
both items have the same value (50% dmg reduction) but your overall dmg reduction in that case is 75% and obviously not 100% ;P
Yes. Good guide. Thumbs up. I was actually about to come and make a guide myself, but it would honestly look exactly like this. Lol. Although i dont see the point in cubing SOJ as you mentioned in the written part of this. But yeah. Good stuff. GR106 Demn Sader here this season.
Hey great Build. Just one question, what gems do u recommend for armor and pants for socketing?. Thanks in advance!
