The general idea behind this build would be an alternative in either group play or another way to play Crusader in solo.

You would Ideally be taking the WD Firebats place in terms of group play, and you can play with another Crusader RGK or standard Necromancer if you're into the whole meta 4-player Group push thing. If not, this is an excellent alternative build to play in a group if you don't want to be forced to play the flavor of the season classes. Please give this a try and if anyone has any suggestions, comments or you just want to ask me a question, leave a comment below and I will try to get back to you and see if I can help you!

I normally run String of ears on my crusader but I felt as if aquila was a better choice to cube and wear Witching hour for more damage, I have no problems with wrath in a group or doing solo.

Furnace is self explanatory, you can run the Akarats weapon if you want extra armor and wrath regen, if not just use firestarter or prophet as your normal skills if you think you can survive the damage while you're tanking use firestarter, if not use prophet so on and so forth.

Once again most of the items here are strictly preference and I sometimes change it up every now and then.

****UPDATE****

Items updated to my preference.

Also for cube/ring options

Swap out convention for Unity for solo and cube Convention. Obsidian ring isn't that huge for rolands crusader because of their 4 set.

4/20/2018 update ( lul blaze it )

Updated some item preferences:

Switch out Aquila for magefist in lowers for more fire % damage.

it's been awhile since i've logged on and played but I will keep this updated for future reference as it seems that Condemn is still the absolute strongest solo build for crusaders, while this is true, you can also use this build in groups as long as it's nothing above a 100.

They are not as strong as corpse lance and FB witch doctor but it is a viable build for people who want to "consider" playing crusader in group play without having to play the super meta specs.

4/23/2018 update

I logged onto my non seasonal crusader from last season and easily finished an 85 with my full dps setup ( Ruby's, Witching hour, no indestructible.)

When I completed the rift I had 0 augmented gear ( after the rift I augmented the Flail) I have little to no Ancient gear. And I cleared an 85 easily within the time limit.

WIth more Paragons, 1500+ ish you can easily clear 100-110+ solo with the same exact setup and a good rift.

11/25/2019 update

Hey what's up guys! I have came back to diablo 3 for the new season. And once again I will try to keep this build updated because it's one of those builds that is going to get outshined by the other two top tier crusader builds (shotgun and LOD Shield) but I would like to show people the capabilities of this build with the new gear.

So with very little amounts of ancient gear ( gloves, flail) and 800 Paragon, I have cleared a 100 pretty smooth with full STR gems and offensive passive setup with no indestructible.

This build I can see with more paragons and ancient gear can be a good contestant to be in at least leaderboard range. Keep in mind I did title this build as FIRE Sweep, which I think can still do this but I was running with a lightning setup which i'm not very familiar with.

With the introduction of the new Captains setup with the passive, this build feels really good and has quite a bit of damage potential. I'm still playing around with the thought of using Flavor of time but I'm not sure what ring setup would suit me best. I still need to run royal ring to make it all work with the current set that i'm using.

Lightning Trip attack seems to be the best for Solo, and Fire Blazing sweep feels better with groups as long as you're above 120+ so you don't get left behind as you're going to be replacing Steed with Vaccum condemn and running Strongarm bracers. Also I am debating on what cube option to use for armor, with around 2 billion toughness at times I feel like I don't die with esoteric and I can swap that out to something that will give me a lot more damage. Once again, check for updates if you are choosing to read this. I know that there's a guild on Icyveins but it doesn't go in depth and tell you experience on what kind of GR's you can do. But easily this can clear 100+ with EXTREMELY minimal ancient gear but the gear has to be somewhat optimized for a good balance of defensive and offensive stats. CDR and Elemental damage in this build are important if you wanna push the threshold since any point of CDR you have gets converted into Damage, and same with Elemental damage. The higher your Convention is in terms of elemental damage the higher damage you'll do. Rings are a tossup, you want CDR and double crit. Your travelers pledge can be ancient but I highly suggest you fish for a CDR double crit convention that's primal ancient.

I will also make a guide on the support variant of this build.

Hopefully this build comes to light, it was extremely outshined twice by condemn and also FOTM double hota barb groups but this is still a strong build for crusader in groups if people are willing to take you as a potential damage dealer.

If you have any comments or suggestions leave them on the bottom and I will read them when I come back to this and update periodically. Thank you for taking a look at my guide.

Crit chance/Crit damage: you want 1/10 ratio as always, keep it as evenly as possible

Build Guide

A continuation of my old crusader build that never really kicked off. It was the season where HOTA barbs pretty much were the staple damage of any four player group. http://www.diablofans.com/builds/60029-2-3-fire-sweep-rolands-4-player-group-crusader Link to the build if you were interested.

It's just a continuation of my 2.3 crusader build I made to be competitive against HOTA barbs. Very similar damage but crusaders were a lot more squishy if they didn't have support at the higher GR's

As i've stated before, the build's items are purely preference on your wants or needs depending on if you want more defense or more damage.

WIll update later most likely. Have any questions? Just ask them below and I will get back to you, if you have any suggestions I would also take into consideration any criticism with the build.

Thanks for taking a look.
