You might be wondering why I don't use frostburn. For this build you have a choice between frostburn and elusive ring. Frostburn is a decent damage boost but the elusive ring gives you way more toughness, and since your resists will be low (even with white gems in gear), you need the toughness, even with visage of gunes and natalia's buff. This is a hardcore build.

If you are playing softcore going frostburn over elusive ring isn't the worst idea. But for hardcore, go elusive ring. The freeze effect from frostburn isn't needed to get rimeheart procs since vengeance and RoV do that for you.

For recovery, the only option is the leech passive. Get life on kill secondary on as much gear as you can. This build does not use discipline, so feel free to take life on kill anywhere you can (but not instead of a secondary resist). Using this passive makes it so that you don't have to use LoH gems for your weapons. You can't use shadow power, the skills are BiS, there is no changing them.

Build Guide

I just wanted to make rime-heart work. This build does that. One proc from rime-heart one shots a GRIFT 60 boss, and it procs constantly thanks to the builds ability to consistently freeze enemies, and to hit frozen enemies as many times as possible (with the combination of rapid fire and vengeance).

For this specific build, there is no better cubed weapon than rime-heart, so judging by that I would say it is a success.

The build's single target is better than any other demon hunter build I've played before. AoE is lacking in solo play, but if you are in a party and someone can group mobs together, your AoE is amazing.

In order to play the build properly, it does take some practice. In order to keep your endless walk set damage buff near 100%, you need to use vault (acrobatics) as your method of moving, never run during fights, only vault. Only run between monster packs.

In order to keep your hatred up, use preparation (hatred rune) when your hatred goes to half or lower. Try to cast RoV and use vault before you start to channel rapid fire, as using them separately will cost you another 20 hatred. If your hatred is low and preparation is still on cooldown, channel rapid-fire and do nothing else, your preparation will go off cooldown in 1 or 2 seconds. Zodiac + rapid fire + gogok is insane cooldown reduction. Sometimes you have to channel rapid-fire to take advantage of zodiac.
