Still in the more experimental stages but i will update as i go.
My first Diablo 2 character ever was a sorceress named Iceel, i am sure it isn't hard to imagine what she was all about. I have always wanted to recreate a similar feel in D3 but the sets prevented it, now with some tweaks to items and skills i think it's possible to get pretty close.
As with any LoN build you have to get a bunch of ancients but it might be a tad more difficult given the necessity for cold damage. With the current set up arcane power has yet to be an issue.
You really wanna go ham on Cold skill damage crit chance and crit damage. I find the build is about as glass canonie as it can get but i have been having some fun with it so far.
--For weapons and armor that don't offer those i am not sure yet.--
As for Etched sigil VS lights grace it's up in the air right now. Lights grace is a tad less powerful and cool but much closer to the feel of my D2 character. Plus for god knows why i have always loved ray of frost and sneered at disintegrate so it's always nice to have a that piercing effect on my preferred of the 2 skills.
For gameplay i have just been grouping with Black hole, hitting blizzard and after raying them down while tossing the occasional orb. Assuming i don't misunderstand mantle of channeling i try to keep ray up as long as i can and not spam orb, since orb spamming causes a bit to much arcane power drain.
the rift bosses do cause me some occasional arcane power issues but i just port away and regen for a few seconds and i am back in it fast.
Would be happy to take any suggestions anyone has.
***UPDATE***
Alright! Updated the build a bit for Arcane power regen from Arcanot and more survivability with Energy armor and Dominince and Ashnagarr's. Also i realized why i never put Frostburn no here. For some nonsense reason it isn't on the site! So they should be pretty great gloves for the build! After arcanot and hergbrash Regen wasn't an issue anymore but i realized cool down was nigh on useless for the build so for more survivability i tossed on unity. Now i can sail through pretty easily. Still need to get Ancient frost burns and am trying to find Chaingmail. After that i think all will be well.
Legendary gems: I yanked Bane of the stricken for iceblink another great damage boost. Let me know if you think bane of the power or stricken should be the other gem! I am not sure.
