Paralysis and Manald Heal proc rates scale with attack speed. As such we will strive for higher AS. You want a minimum of 2 APS on sheet. This will put you at the 9 Frames / Tick breakpoint. If you happen to get max rolls on gear, this does help get you to higher breakpoints with lower amounts of Pain Enhancer stacks, but, of course, not 100% required, due to how PE scales with density, but still a good thing to have.

APoC on source and Topaz in helm to help keep up Aquila, even if you happen to get a single target RG. RCR is also an option for shoulder, this also helps keep up Aquila. You could opt for +Armor instead, if you want to max out your potential defense, but I tend to favor RCR for ensuring Aquila uptime.

LoH plays a big role in this build. Weapon and Bracer are required rolls, Helm is optional. VIT on helm is actually the strongest for toughness, but if you prefer more recovery, LoH is a great option.

Life% on chest happens to be better option in general, though as always, +EliteDmgReduction is a good roll (though harder to get).

Build Guide

Manald Heal non-archon is back!

We slot high AS + Pain Enhancer to hit increased breakpoints. This will help proc Paralysis more readily, and allow MH to deal damage more times within the MH proc window.

Playstyle will be to try and group up high density to gain more PE stacks. Kill off trash to proc Oculus ring spawns. If they are favorably positioned (near density so you retain your PE stacks), you can then stand in them, and focus down the elites. Burn off trash before dispensing the elite. You can also kite multiple elites and trash together for even higher reward (as seen in the video).

FB6, Endless Walk, Deathwish, OID, Mantle of Channeling, Trapped, and Audacity make up the bulk of your damage multipliers.

Blizzard:Apocalypse is used to assist in PE procs, and keep up the FB6 bonus. To fully ignite enemies you will need to also hit them with your Explosive Blast, and channel on them to proc your MW:Ignite. It's not 100% necessary to ignite all trash mobs. Mostly just focus on getting the elites ignited.

Oh and another thing - do not click shielding pylons unless it's for the RG. They reduce your mobility (and therefore dps).

Taeguk is great for the extra damage boost. The idea is to leverage your PE for the RG when pushing hard. You'll want an RG with adds like Saxtris or Hammelin. This will allow you to deal more damage by proccing Paralysis and MH more often on the RG.

When pushing at the highest difficulty, you'll also likely want a Power or Speed pylon to help finish off the RG. Kill off adds to spawn oculus ring procs, these will help boost your damage on the RG as well.

Stricken is less favorable than Taeguk for these reasons:

  • Taeguk allows +3GR rift clearing capability in general.
  • On the best RGs (with a lot of adds) you won't be stacking stricken as fast as you would with a single target RG. In this regard, simply leveraging Taeguk to clear faster or higher during the rift portion is better.

While I didn't spawn the best RG in the video, you can see how having an RG with adds and a pylon available can push the build higher with Taeguk than with Stricken.

Aquila is placed in the cube for extra damage reduction. With OID, FB6, Mantle of Channeling, Safe Passage, and the Halo + APD combo this makes for a very tanky build. Stand near density to get more DR via APD.

LoH on weapon and bracer adds nice recovery. As mentioned in the affixes section, LoH on helm is also an option.

Illusionist grants some much needed mobility, helping you get to oculus rings, dodge attacks and just get around the rift faster.
Resource is managed through many methods to keep up Aquila, even on single target:

Follower items: Oculus Ring, Thunderfury, Ess of Johan. Try for CDR and AS on your follower items. For this build, I prefer the Templar for his inspire and healing abilities.

The clear here was done before the FB set bonus intra-PTR nerf (-25%). Seeing as this nerf accounts for about 1.5 GRs, now rating GR105+. Note also that the clear in the video was done with a non-ancient weapon. You can expect to clear this high in season at around P1300, with similar gear, fully aug'd, etc.

Alternate options:

  • Unstable Anomaly: Great for the double revive, but decreases damage by about 6%, and loss of about 20% toughness. Swap out Unwavering Will.
  • Witching Hour: Great for the added AS and CHD. Would boost dps at the expense of 50% DR. Good offensive option. Wear Witching Hour, cube the Hergbrash's.
  • Starfire is an adequate option for the cube if you don't have a Mantle of Channeling. Mantle is preferred over starfire though, because this is a melee build. You may gain 15 to 30% damage within the rift though, even with Starfire slotted. Wear FB shoulder and OID with this swap.
