Build Guide - 2.6 T13 Nova Summoner Hybrid Speedfarm
Intro
The Nova Summoner combines good AoE, single target and mobility for clearing T13 rifts/bounties fast even with relatively lower paragon*.
Trang'Ouls set increases the damage of both of your damage dealers, along with Scythe of the Cycle and the Cubed Reilena's Shadowhook.
Blood Nova serves two major roles:
1)You can't control who your Skeletal Mages shoot at, while engaging dense mobs Nova allows you to easily dispatch trash mobs "saving" your Skeletal Mages to target the higher HP mobs such as Elites.
2)In combination with Obsidian Ring Of The Zodiac, Blood Nova also lowers your CD on Blood Rush(Mobility), Bone Armor (Krysbin's Sentence triple buff) and Simulacrum(Damage).
Simulacrum is key here, by stacking a lot of CDR along with the use of Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac you will have a very high up-time on it, giving you 2 Blood Novas for the price of 1, and 4 Skeletal Mages per cast (with the CoNE ring). Resevoir 100% Max Essence in combination with Reilena's Shadowhook gives both Blood Nova & Skeletal Mage an higher damage.
*The attached video was taken with 700 paragon, no augmented items, lvl 60 gems and a few ancient items.
Skills
Death Nova - Blood Nova. AoE clear+CDR through Ring of the Zodiac. Also, it does look rather cool
Skeletal Mage - Life Support. Main damage dealer, single target damage, deletes elites and clears trash mobs while moving supplying you with gold for Goldwrap+BoTH and corpses for Devour.
Simulacrum - Resevoir. See Intro.
Devour - Cannibalize. Resource & Recovery, you may use the Numlock trick for auto-casting it.
Blood Rush - Mobility.
Bone Armor - Dislocation. Toughness+Krysbin's Setnence triple damage through stun effect.
Recommended Passives:
Dark Reaping - Essence & Recovery.
Life from Death - Recovery, more globes for Blood for Blood.
Blood for Blood - Stacking this before Rift Guardian/Goblins could be the difference between having no blood resource to killing them in mere seconds.
Blood is Power - While having this with Blood for Blood is ineffective, you still lose blood from Haunted Visions amulet giving you 20% CDR on Simulacrum , that alone is worth it. Besides, you won't always have enough BFB stacks making it work for your Bone Armor and Blood Rush as well.
Note: On lower paragon/starting equipment you can use Molten Grizzard instead of Enforcer, this will result in lower damage. In that case you can run with one of the other recommended passives instead Blood for Blood.
Other useful passives:
Extended Servitude - Nice, although more a matter of convenient since Life Support already has a sufficient up-time.
Overwhelming Essence - More Essence equals more damage with the use of Reilena's Shadowhook and Resevoir.
Final Service - Cheat death, however kills your Skeletal Mages which is annoying.
Rathma's Service - 4 Seconds of invulnerability every Simulacrum use is nice.
Gameplay
Offense
Before engaging elites make sure to have at least a couple of Skeletal Mages up (preferably all 10). When engaging use Bone Armor to trigger Krysbin's Sentence triple damage buff. Make sure Simulacrum is active, it gives you a significant damage boost and with enough CDR will have a very high up-time so don't "save it". Don't be shy attacking with Blood Nova, it does a lot of AoE damage and reduces CD.
Defense
When you enter a rift kill a few trash mobs to get the GoldWrap+BoTH toughness boost going. If you have more than a few enemies use Bone Armor.
Your Skeletal Mages will kill trash mobs when you move along the rift, make sure to occasionally pick up the gold.
Items:
Trang'Oul Set - Damage, Toughness & Recovery.
Haunted Visions - Double Simulacrum up-time.
Nemesis Bracers - IMO the best bracers in the game, especially for speedfarming.
Goldwrap - Godlike toughness in combination with BoTH.
Julian's Love Circle - Skeletal Mages up-time.
Krysbin's Sentence - Huge damage buff. Since it is hard to get a well rolled Krysbin's, until you get such one cube it and wear Ring of the Zodiac.
Scythe of the Cycle - Damage boost to both secondary skills: Blood Nova & Skeletal Mage.
Phylactery - Which Phylactery is not important, just the stats.
Cubed Items:
Tasker & Theo - +50% AS for your Skeletal Mages.
Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac - CDR for higher up-time on Simulacrum, more stuns from Bone Armor and higher mobility from Blood Rush.
Important notes:
- Get Max Essence as secondary on your weapon & off-hand
- Aim for 45-50% CDR
- A well rolled Krysbin's will have Socket, CHC,CHD,AS and high % on effect, unfortunately you can't have CDR instead of AS there
- When not engaging, best is to cast Skeletal Mage between Blood Rush uses
