6-set Pestilence bonespear damage gets enhanced by the awesome weapon bonus. Get it ancient with a high bonus damage on bonespear, as close as you can get to 450%.


A cubed scythe of the cycle and a active bone armor will enhance the damage even more. Cubed Requiem Cereplate, Reaper wraps and passive Life from Death, combined with auto-devour for ease in Essence management, and some heals.


Bone armor combined with a cubed Wisdom of Kalan goes to 15 stacks, or 45% damage reduction. It is a crowd control tool in the dislocation rune and the main reason to get some cool down reduction. I'm not sure yet how much is needed, but i may need to trade in a offensive stat somewhere.

Bonespear with Blighted Marrow does very nice damage if you can line up your foes a bit.


Land of the dead and corpse lance are taken because of the synergy with the 2 piece bonus from the pestilence set. They also help to start up the build and get some initial bonearmor and 6-piece set bonus bonespear stacks. Land of the dead and the poison rune for corpse lance are a decent cooldown for some extra damage.

Core: movement until combined at 25% then as much max resource as you want. You can skip it if comfortable with a smaller buffer. Then int.

Offense: Cooldown reduction may be more valuable for lowering the cooldown on bone armor. If you find it takes too long, either prioritize it higher, or use a ring stat slot for some more cooldown reduction.

Build Guide

This i tried when the necro got released, before season 11. I really liked the damage output. It is a bit glass cannon, with no minions and just cc and movement to keep you alive really. It is fun though. Got it to kill stuff with ease on t12 now. P500, no ancients or caldesann's upgrades. Even so,the damage output is nice. yellow damage in the 30-40 billions. I will play with this for a bit.


My standard tactic: use bloodrush to close and get bone armor stacks when close. The stun will make it possible to get 2 or 3 bonespears out, and then if - they are dead, find next group and repeat until 15 stacks, then keep those bone armor stacks rolling, and use bone armor when ever there is a group to stun. -if there are more mobs, use the second bloodrush charge to get back to where you came from, Bonespear any pursuers, and use line of sight on ranged or casters if needed. Use Land of the Dead whenever you want. Corpse lance does not have to be cast.
