Build Guide
This link is a GR 80 game play, actually the first clear if i'm not mistaken. I did not fish for a special rift and I did not play particularly well. This is just a typical GR run, nothing really special except it's a GR80 clear with mediocre gear to show the point of the build. Only my headpiece is augmented with a level 50 gem, low 700s paragons, and the gear is a mix of Ancient and Normal set. At the end of the video, you can see I'm just slightly over 10k INT. If you're a better player or with way more optimized gear, you'll do much better than me. But even then, I was able to clear GR80 comfortably.
BUILD HIGHLIGHTS
Effortlessly farm TXIII solo and group content. Easily farms GR70 / GR75 with some practice. Farms GR80+ with some augments. I was able to beat GR75 to obtain my season award with pretty mediocre gear: 1 level 50 gem augment, and mid-500s Paragon. This build is great for all content types including rifts, greater rifts, and bounty. It's also good for solo and plenty of fire power for 4-person group play.
FLEXIBLE, FLUID, TOUGH, POWERFUL, and EASY TO PLAY
- Build up your 15 stacks of Bone Armor and start the bonestorm - This is probably the most difficult part and also when you're most vulnerable
- Hold own left click the whole rift - curse and build density.
- If you see Elite pack: Right click on elite pack to spawn 8 corpses, #2 to explode corpse
- Press mostly #2 to Corpse Explode and freeze enemies, triggering Krysbin's Sentence and all your other damage multipliers
- Because you're wearing Moribund Gauntlets (or cubed), your Golem will drop spawn a corpse every 1 second. Therefore, you always have something to detonate. Make sure when you explode corpses, it's in your bonestorm for maximum damage.
DAMAGE SYNERGY
- 6pc Inarius bonus: 2750%
- Grasp of the Essence bonus stacks up 5x.. 500%
- Krysbin's Sentence triggers from 2 sources: 1) Bone Armor - Dislocate (Poison) + Rigor Mortis: 100% 2) Corpse Explosion - Dead Cold: 300%. Active use of Bone Armor will stun nearby mobs, also triggering Krysbin's sentence.
- Trag'Oul's Corroded Fangs: 150%-200%
- Reilenna's Shadowhook: Average +160% (+0.5% per essence)
- Spreading Malediction: 1% per enemy cursed; can be significant depending how density
- Bane of the Trapped: 30%++ multiplier depending on your level
- Bane of the Stricken: Stacking % multiplier over time
Tip: Golem Corpses & Building Up Density: Your Golem often trails behind you attacking enemies. Teleport back to your golem occasionally and you can easily detonate many corpses for instant enemy fatality. This is good strategy when you "build up density".. gather up then return near your golem.
"THE UNDYING" DAMAGE MITIGATION SYNERGY
- Esoteric Alterattion + Lornelle's Sunstone: The most deadly aspect of this game are elemental damage from Elites, such as Arcane Sentry etc.. With a leveled Esoteric + Lorenelle's + Decrepify and low health, you often see 2 BILLION++ toughness. I've seen 4+ BILLION toughness.
- Inarius 4pc damage reduction
- Life from Death: As you explode corpses, health globes will spawn continuously
- Stand Alone: 90% armor bonus, stacks well with Esoteric and Lorenelle's
- Dayntee's Binding + Decrepify: Damage reduction up to 50% from the belt + 30% damage reduction (or 40% from decreipfy: wither) from decrepify itself
- Rigor Mortis: 30% attach speed reduction from melee mobs
- Command Golem - Flesh Golem: If you're out of corpse, you can always sacrifice your golem for 8 corpses to explode, guaranteeing emergency life orbs. In addition, your golem spawns 1 corpse every second for damage or defensive play to spawn orbs.
Vs. RIFT GUARDIANS / ELITES / GOBLIN PACKS
- Once you get higher up in GR levels, you will need Land of the Dead - Frozen Lands to deal with Rift Guardians and Goblin Packs, unless you happen to have an abundance of corpses.
- In GR push, you should replace Blood Rush with LOTD which will help you deal with RGs. Let stricken build up, then hit LOTD.
Disclaimer:
If this build somehow mimics an existing build, credit to them for listing a great build, but it's totally unintentional.
That said, I tried a few Necromancer build and was not having any fun. Managing Skeletal Mages was very annoying with endless spamming / out of essence. I also did not like Land of the Dead / Corpse Lance build - it reminds me very much of Archon Mage play style, powerful but annoying nonetheless.
I started to play the ultra popular Lazystorm build from this site, but find myself powerless against Rift Guardians. In addition, Necromancers just feels very squishy... easy to die without careful management. Thus I embarked on a mission to make a build that's easy play, tough, and able to play in higher greater rifts without being stressed out.
Love it , only drawback i see is when you get multiple gobbies or the Gelatinous gobbys and it is a struggle to take them all down unless you have a lot of corpse on the ground.
Thanks, glad you love it.
In GR push, replace Decrepify with Land of the Dead. This will deal with RGs and will handle Gelantinous gobs easy - just hit LOTD once the gob splits once. This is my normal GR push setup.
Really enjoying this version of CE+Inarius. Much tankier than the one Lord Fluffy posted and thus less irritating and that's without Final Service. It's a shame it's so hard to get a usable Kalan amulet...
Thanks Windgrace. The intended goal was to have something that's tanky, fairly fluid to play, and still can play in the GR70-80 range with some comfort. I got lucky with my Kalan's: non ancient but with INT/CRD/CHC/Socket. However, i have your luck when it comes to Krysbin's Ring - Mine is only rolled with INT/CHC/junk/socket.
This build in 2.6.1 will be really nice if the patch goes through and Dantyee's works with any curse - We can rid of decrypify for LOTD permanently, since frailty aura will work. Our damage will be increased dramatically without sacrificing any toughness.
Best of luck with farming! Cheers!
