Tried this build, and man it's just not for me. Movement is too slow and the lack of mobility is a killer for me. Get surrounded by mobs, and there's no way to deal with that. My gems aren't at your level, so I'm sure that makes a difference, but the rest of the gear was reasonably close.
Hey guys,
So I'm playing this build, got pretty decent gear, near enough all ancient in slots. trifector gloves, decent compass rose/tp combo, and I can't seem to nail a 90 at the minute. I'm getting a little unlucky on maps and density, in that I can walk a long time and not see anything worth grouping a killing.. My gems are level 81-84 right now. I have Augmented armour (not all of them) at around lv 50-75 (200-350int extra per piece) - is there anything you guys could recommend me doing?
Is it worth swapping out the compass rose/tp combo for a Witching Hour and a different amulet?
I'm open to all suggestions. I want this build to work as it is my favourite to play, I can do GR80s in very very quick speed. I can do 85s easily, but I'm trying my best to push onto LBs with something that isn't TG Lance, so i'm looking for help
Thanks a lot
Sorry mate, I wrote that while speed typing at work!
What I meant was.. Is it worth swapping Rose/Pledge for Convention / Hellfire?
Update: I did a 91 with about 4-5 minutes spare last night; will continue to push tonight and see how it goes. I realised I didn't have KE in the Cube and was using it on my char, which meant I was missing around a 25% flat dmg increase (contextual).
Quick question fro anyone here. I've got two Travellers Pledges that I jump between, one of them is Ancient, 950 int, 16% Phys dmg, and 100% crit dmg.
The other is not ancient, 730 Int, 10% crit, 96% crit dmg. Obviously the latter gives me higher screen dps, but which would be better for this build? Would the flat 16% always be better as bone armour/singularity mages will constantly see the benefits?

Nice! Do you have an updated list of your gear you're using mate? could you link me?
Nice work. I'm up to a 93 now. Gonna push more tonight/this weekend.
If anyone could gimme some input on the Pledge question, i'd be grateful!
Use https://www.d3planner.com/ to find out what will give you best dps, more than likely the phy ammy though
Thanks! I didn't know that existed.
What I'm currently working towards, I swapped skill:cs on torso and shoulders for ad and -elite damage resulting in a 4.5bil (max stat ancient gear) decrease to com skele dps which seems like a lot but they do squat for damage compared to your mages so I'd say its prolly up to you in the end.
Reaper wraps provide alot more resource for more mages where you can pop full essence mages every 2-3 orbs you collect compared to needing to eat 31 corpses so its for more consistency at keeping up 8-10 mages at a time. There are plenty of rathma builds that don't use wraps and thats fine too though if you choose not to be sure to swap life from death passive to something like spreading malediction.
Esoteric instead of ...? wildebeest cause that can work, while I can't speak for him personally I'm pretty sure bigdaddy just uses wildebeest for the synergy with thy flesh sustained(and/or draw life) and with sufficient resist you don't need esoteric really as it just saves you from getting 1 shot by stacked molten or standing in fire (can be remedied with situational awareness) and zei's is technically more dps the enforcer but you pets are more vulnerably to enemy affix's like molten.
Hey all,
So I've got a 94 down with this, but really want to keep pushing.
I can't seem to get a 95 down, could anyone take a look at my char below and let me know what I am missing?
https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Xerath-1775/hero/97072176
obviously I am missing an ancient Compass Rose, and I need to place higher gems in my weapon and chest; but is there anything standing out that I am definitely missing here?
Thanks a lot in advance
Oli
Does battlenet not show stat boosts from paragon because you seem to be missing 50 essence from that otherwise not really something that'll make a huge difference but you can run freeze deflection on your follower with a 31% block roll and roll the loh on the relic into 16% block chance (immortal follower doesn't need loh) this synergizes with his taunt to force enemies to attack him with a chance to freeze them for kyrsbins bonus. I'm curious how well final service works, are you regularly able to recover after it goes off (have the essence to recover/able to relocate) the fact that you're immune to damage for 4 seconds is more than enough to recover with wildebeest the fact that it nukes all your pets seems like putting you from a bad situation (in which you died) to a potentially worse (you now have no pets/essence and are likely to die again), entirely personal view but I think it would be better to run a different passive (draw life for defensive, spreading malediction for offensive).
I've played around with similar setup.
Don't have a high enough Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard. So I run with Esoteric Alteration and Bone Armor with Harvester of Anguish.
Saw in the video that you suggested with Wisdom of Kalan, RoRg and Tasker and Theo equipped. But I don't understand that, wouldn't be easier to get a proper Requiem Cereplate and cube Tasker and Theo?
Did you also consider cubing Reilena's Shadowhook, is this because of the increase in essence gain in case of few corpses?
Hey Mate, thanks for the reply.
I think it's a battlenet bug: I have the essence.
I am missing a flat 15% dmg from the helmet, which is a big loss, but I can't find any helmet that will roll the way I need it!
With regards to your input about Final Service: I'm not entirely sure if it is better than other passives. It does seem to be annoying when I lose all of my pets, however, with this build (and essentially in situations where you die you are surrounded by enemies) you are able to get the essence back up for more pets pretty quickly. I might try out some different passives though, see what happenes. Spreading Malediction could be a good one to take, I'd just need to be a bit more careful when it comes to mechanics.
Thanks for the build, which I've used almost from the start, although it took me forever to collect the items, and now I'm at GR60.
I'm new to D3 and began this season.
What I like with the build is that you basically clean the map, which is good to level Paragons. While it's not the most efficient build, it feels better, to me, than builds where you only take care of the elite packs.
The only downside to this build is that sometimes, often at the start of a new level, when you die, it's almost impossible to recover, and one has to chain die many times, which is frustrating and costs lots of time. If someone knows how to avoid this or to better recover, I'm up for all advices. I only know that on my other character, a DH, this doesn't happen.
What I've found to avoid encountering this situation as much as possible, is to prioritize offense so that the dangerous packs will die as quickly as possible. That's why I do not take Jessie's set, and replaced it with Scythe of the Cycle + Bone ringer.
A variation of the build I love, in combination with the iron Rose Phylactery, is to replace Bone Spîkes with Siphon Blood, which heals, procs free Blood novas a lot (with Iron Rose). With the rune Blood sucker, most health globes come to you, limiting the time you have to move. Anybody tried this variant?
Great build! I'm up to GR75 without any deaths so far. Takes me about 7-8 minutes to clear GR75, depending on what kind of mobs appear; Vile Temptresses and other dangerous ranged ones can really slow things down because I have to keep moving, which really weakens damage and slows down essence production. About half my gear is ancient (weapon and shield aren't).
Am I imagining it, or do the mages get snapshotted to the most recent cast strenght?
ex: if i have all 10 out, and summon a pair with low essence, all 10 mages suck.
but if i quickly summoned 10 weak low essence mages and then fill to max and summon, then all mages are powerhouses.
is it supposed to be that way?
Yup
Honestly, for season 16 this build doesn't really work... I'm a decently high paragon and matched everything about this build. I have some ancients and most enchants and i still can't get through level 70 gr. The problem with the build is that it has no speed, so you just get stuck in giant mobs all the time. With low essence regeneration it is a bit hard to escape. Wouldn't recommend this for season 16. Maybe try another Rathma's build.
