Skills:


Grim Scythe/Cursed Scythe: Used to apply curses and proc PE.


Blood Rush/Potency: A useful "oh crap" and general mobility skill. Potency is great because you can effectively double your armor every 5 seconds (for 2 seconds) giving you 40% up-time. This can really enhance your survivability in big packs.


Decrepify/Dizzying Curse: Slows, Slows, and more slows. Stuns help proc Krysbin's Sentence.


Corpse Lance/Visceral Impact: We stray from the norm here and take the stun/physical rune. We're already at 60% crit so the chain stun is more useful, especially on large/dangerous mobs.


Bone Armor/Dislocation: Another staple. The stun adds effective toughness as well as proccing Krysbin's. Also when using Nemesis, it can prevent you from getting one-shotted immediately upon spawning the pack. Easily the best rune.


Land of the Dead/Frozen Lands: The only choice. AoE freeze, works on all mobs other than Juggernauts (even works on the RG).


Items:


Full Inarius Set: Self explanatory for a Bone Armor build.


Nemesis/APD: I personally prefer Nemesis bracers to APD. The extra pack(s) you get can often times make or break your times in higher GR's. Also, I think APD's are kind of redundant as they only work when mobs are stunned....but if things are stunned they aren't hitting you. I realize this can work in huge trash packs when our random stuns proc, but, I think Nemesis outweighs any toughness benefit from APD.


Dayntee's Binding: Required. Only choice for any build really.


Endless Walk Set: Since the majority of our damage comes when we are standing still (Corpse Lance, Grim Scythe, Casting Bone Armor) this set makes sense. We gain DPS while standing still and we gain toughness when we are running through/around the trash. Other options here are Wisdom of Kalan/Unity...but you'll lose a lot of DPS. I don't think 90+ would be possible with the DPS lost unless you got a great rift. Briggs Wrath is also a fun choice here when speed farming lower rifts.


Convection of Elements: This is the moneymaker and absolutely required. Being a Necromancer, we only have 3 elements available to us...Poison, Cold, and Physical. When this cycles to poison, our Bone Armor and Grim Scythe wreck. When it cycles physical our Corpse Lance is INSANE. I get 3-4 trillion crits with Corpse Lance regularly during the physical cycle.


Weapons: I prefer using Trag'Ouls Fang and an off-hand to Reilena's here. We gain more attack speed for more over-powered Corpse Lances during our 4 second physical window as well as more stats in our offhand. The offhand can be your best stat stick....whichever phylactory or shield you have. PS - It's actually a really easy item to improve or fish for primal. Since any item would do, gambling and then upgrading yellow phylactories works. It took me only about 400 tries to get my primal.


Miscellaneous:


Cube Slots: I think these are self explanatory. We go with all offensive weapons here. The goal is to be a powerful as possible while still being able to survive. I personally feel the best defense in Diablo has always been a good offense. Aquila Cuirass and Unity just give up way too much DPS. With the Molten Wildebeast Gizzard and Draw Life passive, and % life items, we are actually pretty durable and over 1 million HP.


Gems: BotT helps proc Krysbin's as well as give the static buff in our bone armor radius. Pain Enhancer does CRAZY amounts of damage in higher rifts. Our gear is about 60% crit and we are constantly hitting everything with Bone Armor and Grim Scythe so we get a ton of mileage here. I see a lot of 30-50 billion PE ticks. Don't underestimate it and sub it out for more toughness, you don't need it. Lastly, the Molten Wildebeast Gizzard gives us a way to recover when our potion/Final Service are both on CD. Combined with draw power, we can disengage and heal to full within a few seconds and jump back in the fray. I find this way more useful than more mitigation.

Paragon points are pretty self explanatory. Just make sure you don't go over the 25% MS cap and do not put any points into Vitality.

Build Guide

I really enjoyed the Inarius/Miranae build before the recent "fix" and I wanted to find a way to continue playing Inarius while maintaining a respectable GR capability. I absolutely hate the Tra'Gouls Corpse Lancer playstyle and I find all the pet builds to be way too click-intensive with the despawning mages. I fully realize this build will probably max out in the mid 90's somewhere right now but that's perfectly fine with me. As of 07-23-17 GR 92 in under 13 mins gets you on the leaderboard.


The playstyle/rotations are very straight forward:


1. Get 10 stacks of Bone Armor

2. Decrepify Everything

3. Utilize Grim Scythe to proc other curses/Krysbins

4. Utllize Blood Rush for mobility and bonus toughness

5. Use Corpse Lance whenever possible on big piles of trash.

6. Use Corpse Lance/LotD on Physical CoE cycle for tough packs and the RG.

7. Disengage when necessary to recover HP with Gizzard/Draw Life

8. Take advantage of Final Service. You gain 4 seconds of immunity and that can be enough to finish a tough pack while channeling Corpse Lance.

9. Play smart. Kill big trash density when it's there, otherwise look for packs/pylons.


While you will see me doing a fair amount of elite hunting in the video, you'll notice I'm also able to kill a lot of trash and I actually have a decent amount of toughness. Of course it doesn't possess the DPS of a straight Tra'Goul's Corpse Lancer build but it will get you into the 90's (even at sub 1k paragon like myself) and it's a much more enjoyable playstyle IMO.


PS - You will need really top notch gear if you don't have the Paragon INT to make this work. Thankfully I've been fortunate with my primal drops.


PPS - This is really a solo build only. It works in duos but you need to be at close range to do your damage and will get smoked in group 90+ play. Stick with pets or corpse lancer there.


PPPS - You'll see in my demonstration video I got a HORRIBLE rift. Ranged stuff everywhere, bad early density, and a ton of deaths. I figured it's better to post a bad rift example so we don't get the "it was all luck" trolls. That's also why I'm confident this can go at least 3-4 levels higher with better luck.
