Hello everyone! My name's Vanquish (https://www.twitch.tv/vanquish_lmd) and I've played in multiple seasons and always place leaderboards without having to no life completely (although I have been no lifing Season 11 lol). I did a solo GR70 on third day of season with Rolands, and built the Shield Bash version because it seemed more fun with Flail of the Ascended and I did not have a Golden Fleece to make the Sweep Attack version.

NOTE: If you don't have a Flail of the Ascended, use Shield Cross rune with Shield Bash for more AoE, as Pound rune is not ideal as only dmg source.

Regarding current build items:

Kanai's Cube/Legendary Powers:

It's more ideal to use Piro Marella in cube since it will give you the full 50%, it all depends on which shield you currently have that's better to equip (my Piro Marella is Ancient, so I cubed The Final Witness).

Using Leoric's Crown is always great for season starter crusaders, so much more CDR. There might be something better but I enjoy this a lot.

I am using Obsidian Ring of Zodiac legendary power to have more uptime on Akarat's Champion and Iron Skin, and Steed Charge when doing lower level rifts.

Legendary Gems:

Bane of the Powerful: Best starter gem, I still use since it provides a defensive bonus as well as 35% more dmg vs elites.

Bane of the Stricken: Level this one as high as possible as it will help you once you switch over to another build.

Esoteric Alteration: Best defensive gem for crusaders.

Other options: Bane of the Trapped for more dmg, Molten Guzzard for more defense.

Cooldown Reduction
Critical Hit Chance

Resist All

Utility

Resource Cost Reduction

Gold Find

New season rule on 99% of characters is to hit the 25% movement speed cap.

For offense, make sure you have near 45% crit chance before dumping into crit dmg or CDR.

All non Intelligence builds go for Resist All in their defense first.

As for Utility, I like to go with Gold Find at start of season until I actually need the other stats for better clears. Resource Cost Reduction is very important considering we don't have a generator besides Shield Glare and Provoke,

Build Guide

Build Guide: The build is very straightforward, your main source of damage is from Shield Bash and Shield Glare. You can almost certainly hold down Shield Bash in the middle of a fight and spam the other skills when needed. When not using Steed Charge, use Shield Bash to move to a target quicker. During a solo fight, use Shield Glare on CD to ensure you don't run out of Wrath.
