Interesting build. How does Pain Enhancer scale since only weapon damage doesn't seem that strong? Wouldn't Simplicity's Strength be stronger at higher gem levels (assuming it's multiplicative with the grenade damage)?
I use Pain Enhancer because I'm buffing EVERYTHING I use and not just one skill in general which is what Simplicity's Strength does. PE is very promising for solo, it helps pushing the rift gauge with mobs it's also very good with AD stacking as well as helps with IAS. When pushing for high GR there are two gems that are mandatory Stricken and Trapped only other option is Gogok or PE for damage dealers.
what does buriza do for this build? Does it buff cluster grenade in some way?
I've like BiS items on this build, even primal ancient crossbow and barely can do GR 70 (only with simplicity strength and DEX gems in chest/legs slots) while i can take GR 80 with not-well-itemized shadow build. Any clues why i've so low DPS?
Not sure if I agree with that, you say you're buffing Everything you use. The only other skills that applies to is FoK , which you're using solely to gain armor and proc Trapped. I guess it works on the companion as well, but he's there as a distraction. Your main damage dealer is still Grenades, so I would think SS is better overall for this build.
@Cheze
When Buriza-Do Kyanon and Hellcat proced, you will gain 1 additional grenade.
@mcswaggy - https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/demon-hunter-shadow-impale-build-patch-2-6-season-11
@CHawk15 - You already gain 100% from depth diggers, you would only be getting a 12.5% increase with the gem, which is not really that much once you think about it.
Hey, I have a question. I got an ancient Fortress Ballista with IAS, CDR, Dex, and max discipline. I chose to reroll the damage range to almost max 1359-1691. Before it was around 1100 something to 1400 something I believe. Did I make the wrong decision to reroll for higher damage range over replacing IAS with area damage?
I never RR damage range you may find something better later, I would have done one of these scenario's drop CDR for DMG% would boost your DPS by 4.83%, or you drop IAS for AD you would boost your DPS by 3.38%. Now if you chose to leave CDR it would have made Vengeance go from 88% up-time to 97% up-time and Fan of Knives from 83% up-time to 92% up-time.
not a perfect build. I think missing details like obtaining Max Discipline on certain pieces of gear is very important. Also I don't find this build to be as good as impale DH right now d/t its lack in overall damage. Its more fun and does better clears, but poor in time management
Simplicity Strength is multiplicative since 2.4.1 so you need it for that build. And grenades are your only real damaging skill. Also, SS gives great regen.
R130 Simplicity Strength (+90% more damage to Primary Skills & and 4% healing to max HP with Primary Skills)
R130 Bane of Trapped (+54% more damage to movement impaired monsters)
R130 Gogok of Swiftness (+1.80% IAS & +10.87% to all cooldowns)
