With this build you create 10 pets with a extreme high amount of thorns damage. Every time a enemy hits one of them there is a chance to proc up to 2 trillion damage.
How to play:
Defense:
- At the beginning of a rift you should cast Decreptify as fast as possible to gain 50% damage reduction from Dayntee's Binding.
- Use blood rush to create TragOuls life stacks (max cap is 100).
- Make sure to cast Decreptify very often to stack up Spreading Malediction for higher density.
- if you need heal just blood rush through a bunch of mobs.
All in all this build is really tanky.
Thanks to the TragOuls life bonus and the fact its a thorns build you can easy reach >2 million hp.
Offence:
- If you find a position with good density and/or one or more elite packs cast land of the dead (If you have trouble to stay alive while land of the dead is active use frozen land rune - you are much safer but this will prevent mobs from attack your pets).
- While land of the dead is active you start spamming devour.
- USE REVIVE JUST ONCE!!! It costs lots of your HP but life from death will create some health globes.
- Now you have to collect 2-3 of them to get stacks of the blood for blood passive.
- Now you can use revive for free - once per health globe!
- Now repeat this till land of the dead ends and try to reach the cap of 10 pets.
- Stop spamming devour to keep all fresh corpses.
- Now make sure all mobs affected by Frailty and Decreptify.
- Now you see the enemy mobs start attacking your pets and get killed by their thorns.
- Dying Mobs affected by Frailty can maintain your followers Oculus Ring.
- Try to stay in the Oculus areas as much as possible
- Wait for your pets start to despawn.
- Are there still some elites alive or it is a bunch of density left use revive on the new corpses (sometimes you have to decide if you should finish off elite packs - I skip them if they have still >50% after one land of the dead).
- Move forward and repeat from step 1 (if found a good spot but still have to wait for land of the dead try to pull more mobs/elites).
- At the rift guardian you can use corpses from blood rush to create some pets if you have to wait for land of the dead cooldown.
I cleared GR91 by myself

- Frozen
- Orbiter
- Jailer <- The best one! It always hits all your pets at once.

- Blighter
- Bloodmaw
- Cold Snap
- Hamelin
- Infernal Maiden
- Orlash
- Perdition
- Raiziel
- Voracity
- Erethon
Worst rift guardians:
- Man Carver
- Orlash
- The new one form necro patch
I've tried this build myself and it looks and feels like a bug. As you said, sometimes you one shot the boss and others you have to move on because they don't get damage at all.

This build has no life unfortunately. Damage is completely random. You can one shot elite if it somehow does silly aoe attack on a minion or run around for 5 minutes with no damage. Blue Packs are inkillable. Many Elite packs without strong attacks are unkillable as well. Trash packs take forever, because they have weak attacks. Land of the Dead is absolutely not needed
When I tried this build I had the same rift guardian several times and I had different results.
For example, I remember fighting against the Butcher for 5 min. He killed me 10-15 times. Finally he died. Several rifts later I had the same rift guardian and I one shot him.
I hope Necromancer Thorns is a thing next season, but it feels really clunky right now.

I once killed 3 pack within 1 second simply because they got stuck on top of each other in a narrow corridor in ruins of corvus.
Hello. I am the one in the video and the creater of the build. And you are right i am south korean but play in the EU server. Sorry for the broken english.
cleared 105 with the COE build, and i can say its the second best build of nec for GR ,better than rathma. i can clear gr 97 within 10min now and 100 with almost no failure.
With 1500 paragon and 7 caldesans!
No offence, i have had to face so many failures till i could find the best mechanism for the play and i want all of you not to do the same silly mistakes. Let me fix what you know wrong.
With my gears and paragon i can kill all eliteswith just 1 LoD in gr 95 and can also kill every RG. But higher in 105 the posibility to kill elites and RG becomes limited.
There are 3 attributes of elites which helps you kill them easily.
Frozen orbiter imprison.
Imprison is the best in high GRs.
It never misses unlike two others.
Other attributes might help too but not much.
Frozen star doesnt provoke thorns dmg as far as i figured out.
And if the type of the elite uses AOE attacks, for example glacial giants golgor and tyrants, you can kill them too no matter which attributes it has.
Some RGs can be easily killed. Agnidox is the one you can handle. Its fire breath provokes thorns effect qns it melts down
I would not say all stratigies for the RG fights
But without a doubt blighter is the easist
And the worst are Orlash and the new boss.
Orlashs lightning breath doesnt povoke thorns properly.
In extremely higher GR you would have 1 or 2 min after rg spawns and you can handle about the half of the rg types within 2 min, which means you only need to use LoD 2 times.
My pleasure, i think EU and NA players are way more passionate to find new builds and i was pretty surprised that someone has already understood the thorns build pretty perfectly. Your routine is exactly the same as mine ,except that i use blood rush several times right after I enter GR to make a health globe that protects me from sudden death after i use first revive.
And i dont think its a bug. Scarlet death scales damage of minions and it scales thorns of them just like any items that increase your att dmg scale your thorns attacks. Singularity rune scales thorns as far as i know but its really hard to make them hit by monsters cause they do range attacks. Btw the Golem that consumes corpses to increase its dmg doesnt scale thorns. I think its a bug
@XeNon20 @mdnightee I was wondering why Spear of Jairo is not in any of the Thorns builds > 90 GR. Maybe you can help me understand why.
15% multiplicative thorns per cursed enemy, when you usually have more than 20 at the same time, is a lot of thorns. Also it confuses me a lot that Spreading Malediction is in all thorn builds, being just 1% additive damage per cursed enemy. Thx
There is a bug right now. Jairo scales your thorns but not your minions' thorns.
On my way to trying ths build pretty soon. Feeling excited about the concept and idea!
Does +%Revive damage on gears work with this build?

I wanna try this build in the next season. Has there been any changes to the build since March? Also, what would you change for S16 with RORG buff? Leoric's Crown for more CDR or maybe Heart of Iron for more Thorns? And do you know if the bug with Spear of Jairo that @mdnightee was mentioning has been fixed or not?
