Build Guide
Disclaimer: This build is completly different from all the other builds here and uses some unique mechanics. The gameplay is very smooth and easy but requires practice first. Please read carefully, watch the video closely and make sure you understand how the build works. For clearing grift 100 you will need ~2.000.000+ screen dps.
2.6.1: From my first testings this setup will remain one of the best Rathma solo builds in 2.6.1 and got even better because of some Skeleton Mage bug fixes and the 6p Rathma buff from 2.500% to 4.000%. In 2.6.0 we saw GR106 clears on EU with only ~1300 paragon, so with a 60% buff (2.400to4.000) GR110+ could be easily doable with para 2000+. I will test other setups this weekend.
About the build:
- Smooth and easy to play real summoner build.
- incredible strong for high level group/solo speedgrifts and also very good for solo pushing
- permanent 10 powerful singularity mages
- Massive essence generation (bone spikes-> reilenas shadowhook + globes-> reapers + corpes->devour) results in extremly strong singularity mages.
- No bonearmor and curses because its a pain to cast them with mage on autocast and you dont need them.
- Pets will block all incoming dmg, if you dont skip monster.
Gameplay:
- singularity mage on autocast (numlock trick! remember: numlock trick only casts, while you dont hold/hit a button)
- Devour on autocast (numlock trick!). Get used to cast in manually because most of the time you will hold a button to reg essence.
- Left klick to stun+generate essence. Try to hit as much monster as possible because thanks to Reilenas Shadowhhok you gain more essence per enemy hit.
- Use command skeletons to proc Jess 400% bonus. You need to activate it once and it will keep going until there are no enemys left on the screen. Pay attantion to the voice of the charge. Hold a button to walk or bone spike to gather enougn essence for initial cast. Use it also to fokus fire / freeze dangerous targets like ghost or jumpers.
- If you have 10 mages, dont leftKLICK, hold leftklick to break autocast on mage and regen to full essence for more powerfull mages (read singularity rune, more essence spent means more dmg per mage).
- Dont skip monsters for density, its called facerool for a reason. Just stand behind and let your mages tear through everything. Again: KILL ALL THE MONSTERS or you will die.
- Hit land of the dead + simulacrum if there is high density/elitepack(s) or danger (massive dmg increase and crazy health regen). This is pure Armageddon and your mages will nearly oneshot Yellows at 90++. Hold the mouse and spam devour manually, to generate globes/essence and get full 600+ essence mages.
- The time from the buff on devour [satiated] stacks, so its a permanent 50% life bonus (but is additive with other life%).
- Zei's counts distance from player to monsters (not pet to monsters)
Autocast / Numlocktrick:
- how to numlock by quin69: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaAI8s8rft4&t=
- if numlocking 2 spells doenst work for you, try mage on button 2 and devour on button 4
- if this doesnt work also, put mage on autocast and hit devour manually (or use aura)
- you can break autocast by press enter (chatmode) if you need to rez/identify/townportal
- you can break autocast by holding a key (hold leftklick till essence is full)
- while hitting land of the dead+simulacrum: hold mousklick to walk, spam devour manually (because holding breaks autocast), gather globes and stop holding mousklick to summon powerful mages.
Haunted Visions + CoE
- Haunted Visions + CoE instead of endless walk seems to be a solid / equal choice. Especially in season take whatever is better rolled.
- The approach can also a little bit different here. Get some more CDR and use Simu always when ready, your goal is to get high simu uptime to clear also trash faster. Safe LotD for elitepacks.
About facerolling, fishing and pushing
- People who say its a fishy, glassy setup are just bad at this game and dont understand how the builds works. When you are pushing to your personal grift limit, no build is actually "facerolling" because if you could facerolling this griftlevel, this wouldnet be your limit.
- Its also not more fishy than other builds, most builds need one of the open maps with high density but without ranged mobs (+good pylons). Corpselance need many yellows. For my build any map oder mobs can work, ranged mobs are really no problem, only those jumpers can be difficult, if there are too much of them.
- The term "facerolling" is also referring to the originally idea of the build, to create an easy to play but strong mage build without getting cancer from spamming the mage button. Gameplay is very smooth, just use leftklick, sometimes command skeletons and a little bit devour, nuke elitepacks with simu+lotd. Stay behind. Eazy.
- Just 5-10 griftlevels below your max, it will facerolling everything because mage tear trough everything the moment it appears on the screen. It also clears whole t13 maps at an insane speeed while you just run and loot.
For T13 rifts:
- switch compass rose to avarice band (or cube it and wear the other 2 rings)
- goldwrap belt
- boon of the hoarder
- Fueled by death passive is bugged, so avoid it. Take this when its fixed (from finale service or overwhelming essence)
- If your gear is really good and dmg is over the top, also change Jesseths to Reilenas Shadowhook, cube in-geom (and nemesis) and change command skeletons to bloodrush

Love the build!
I recently picked up an ancient amulet of The Traveler's Pledge with the following stats:
The amulet does not have a socket. You list the stat priorities as Physical %, CHD, CHC. I guessing that a socket is assumed for the amulet as you wouldn't want to go without all 3 legendary gems so should I re-roll the Int to a socket or would you pick something else? Thanks for the help!
I'm running the build exactly as advertised (or with Zei's) and see Oculus proc all the time.
@Melancholy or anyone, This is me and so is this, and I'm pushing into GR 87. Would you say I'm under/over or right on with my progress?
Ah, you might be right. I see the oculus pool appear often, but not 100% of the time.
Something very cow
I've been considering switching from Endless Walk to CoE/HV, but I've just been waiting for the right CoE/HV to drop. Right now, I have a CoE that's almost identical to my compass rose with 195% passive, and I've found a Haunted Visions with 20% Physical Dmg, 72% Crit Damage, and 10% Crit Chance, compared to my Traveler's that has 747 Int, 99% CD, and 10% CC. On sheet, I lose 10% dps switching to the HV, but I know that the 20% Physical Damage isn't reflected in sheet dps, nor are the passives from CoE or HV. My question is, would it be worth it to swap now, or should I wait for another HV with higher crit damage?
I need to tweak my gear a bit further but I'm pushing low 70 GRs (currently 73) without terrible difficulty. I'm not doing 2-3 minute clears but 7-8 is common depending on the elites I run into.
I love not having to worry about curses and just unloading on packs.
I'm a little over 800 paragon with only 4 ancients.
This is a great build.
I am doing ok with this build, pushed GR85 at paragon 700 with eso and without using zeis. The only thing that really stops me are Winged Assassins... I guess if we get them we are SOL? No matter how far back I stand, if a couple jump at me I am dead.
Hi Melancholy, which stat should I reroll in this Skullshield?
Primary
Secondary
Thanks!
Was using the old Inarius/Bonestorm previously and saw this build. Strapped on all the gear and cube since I had it laying around (only 4 of which are ancient). No despairs, less than 700 paragon, gem levels between 25 and 53 - and easily pushing into the mid 80's so far, well above what I could do with Bonestorm.
You are extremely squishy, but at the same time it keeps the build interesting. Most of the time it doesn't matter if you are paying attention to your positioning. Leaping monsters will make you rage, and sometimes I catch a stray arrow from a skeleton archer, but otherwise the skeletons and mages block everything.
Thanks for the guide.
Hi,
Yesterday I had cleared GR 92 with this build with around 985 Paragons on Console. Now I have tried to do it first with Haunted Visions/COE instead of Comapss rose/Travelers. I have failed many times although I have perfect primal COE.
I switched back to Comapss rose/Travelers and i cleared with the first attempt with 2 minutes left and the below mistakes/Bugs:
- I used Danyet (or whatever its name) Belt instead of my ancient Witching Hour (by Mistake)
- The Oculus ring didn't Proc at all, and when i read about it, there are some people saying that it does proc only with Decrepify (your input on that please)
I want to know your personal preference or input on this Haunted Visions/COE Comapss rose/Travelers combination cuz i feel Comapss rose/Travelers is much better.
Now today I got primal Haunted vision with physical, Int, CHD ( CHD re rolled from lifer per hit i think). I will try again now Haunted Visions/COE combination.
Currently I have around 2.3M Damage with the Witching Hour and 36 Physical damage if I use Comapss rose/Travelers combination. Do you think I can push GR 95 with that? if yes, can you please advise the best strategy on console?
one last question, I got Jesseth Skullscythe with the below stats, I want to know what to re roll so i can get the max Damage out of it:
- 1547 - 1916 Cold Damage
- +9% Damage
- 884 Int
- 6% Attack speed
- + 18 maximum essence
- socket from the gift.
Sorry for the long comment
I could not get to cast full power mages.
You said hold a button (I press and hold the left button which is binding to bone spike), but mages still auto cast
ps devour is cast manually
I do enjoy this build but I have to say that as a player without fantastic connection speed (due to my geographic location) I basically get 1shot by anything and sometimes easily avoidable attacks because by the time I move I'm already dead. This is mostly a necro problem and a problem of high rifting in general, no matter how much toughness you have you will get one shot.
Especially if your run is ruined by 2 thunderstorm mobs and those poison whites all packed right next to the door. They said they fixed this but it looks like some maps still suffer from this.
Thanks a lot.
I don't have attack speed on gloves and I don't have area damage on shoulders, you think this will hold me back from reaching GR100?
one More question plz, on head, I have currently 6% CHC, and my total CHC is 56%
shall I remove it and replace it with Mage damage 15% ?
thanks

having GOOD gear rolls for one I have the same gear and set up and only 950k damage and get one shot in GR 70s
Just wanted to say thank you very much.
Using another rathma build i got to gr 80 then got stuck.
Swapped to this build and I just cleared 85 in 13:59 @ para 810.
i just did my first GR90 3 sec remaining... was hot
but what a pleasure to play this build when you understand the gameplay.
thx again
now im looking for a guide for the Z necro to help ppl in public GR
Love this build. Just cleared 91 at paragon 865. I swapped reapers out for nemesis because I like the extra edge it gives. I also dumped life for death and extended servitude and took swift harvesting and blood is power. Seems much more effective this way.
