Build Guide
This build has been around for a while, but it is one that I still use to speed farm DBs. It is a super simple build and is a ton of fun to play. The sages set really helps to stack up DBs quick. Make sure that you maintain 2 pieces of the correct sages set (there are 2) and 5 pieces of tals. Check out the video for more info!
I think you accidentally put Tals helm on the build and only one piece of Sages set.
You forgot to display your gems.
Why attack speed over crit dmg ? Bane of the Powerful wd be a better. More dmg > higher rift. With 600+ para and correct gear u can do easily fast t12/t13
If you do Torment 10 or Torment 11, This build is ok... if you don't mind the fact that you cannot hold down the move key (Even with using the force move feature you still have to click single movements since holding it also stops your attacks just like holding left mouse does).
While this build can be slightly modified to be able to kill things in torment 13 and still survive, it's sketchy and much much slower than the better option of just using the Current season 10 solo wizard meta. With the one change, add in-geom to the cube.
Rift starts, teleport to the first champ pack, pop Archon and kill it, from then on you're already destroying anything in your beam so you head to the 2nd champ pack and usually you are re-applying Archon at that point which is already off cool-down because of in-geom. It instantly explodes and now you have 2 sets of Archon stacks I'm usually 100-150 stacks already and now you just got another instant 50 by popping your 2nd so your at 150-200 and building... By now anything your beam touch's instantly dies and as long as you move along quickly it stays that way the for the rest of the rift.
While the meta build does not use Sage, it's still faster death breath for 2 reasons.... 1 this guide is doing Torment 10 and I'm doing Torment 13 which makes up for the difference because you get more DB's in T13, I also clear T13's as fast as this build does T10s... and if you were to take this build to T13 with Sages you'd clear it so slow compared to meta build with in-geom that you'd still be behind in DB's.
Now.... If you want a really lazy Torment 10 DB farm that's not 100% optimal for current season, this build is fantastic
Side note: I tried this build with ancient in every piece recommended, including a really nicely rolled Ancient Wand of Woh, and excellent Focus/restraint and gems 80+ at paragon 970+ and it struggles in T13, which is why I claim it's just not optimal for current season to people who want to farm optimally... If you want lazy farm though its ok for lower Torments

When you level Bane of the powerful, all it does past 25 is add duration to the buff.
The buff gives 20% damage and an extra 15% damage to champ packs.
So you have 20% Damage to whites and 35% damage to champs.
Using Bane of the Trapped, when you increase it's level you increase it's damage to anything under control impairing effects. And the Gem also gives you a slowing aura which makes it so that the damage has 100% up time.
My level 80 Trapped has 39% damage increase to everything, not just champ packs, and if I level it more the damage goes up.
That would be why you use Trapped over Powerful.
Isn't storm armor triggering your stacks? Mb just change electrocute for something else
I really like your video guide, I have this build already covered in my big boomsorc guide with many variations since patch 2.2: http://www.diablofans.com/builds/67872-2-5-living-lightning-boomsorc_manald-heal_in-geom
Kudos!
PS.:Numlock autocasting is SHIT and slow, don't recommend it for explosive blast boomsorc.
you should really use a macro from one of blizzards official supported Macro tools from logitech, corsair, razer or Steelseries keyboards. you won't get banned for using macros produced with windows certified keyboard drivers, this is all legit.
it's because numlock simply doesn't suit this build. With a proper macro you are going to shred through T13 like a lawn mower.

Really? I might have to check that out. I didn't think there would be a difference in numlock vs a macro. I would be cautious with the "officially supported" thing though. Troupster was banned last year for 3rd party software and he claims that all he used was a steel series diablo 3 mouse and the macros on the accompying program.nothing to be catious about, Blizzard does even use the SDK from those keyboard drivers to illuminate respective keyboards/mice. If you get banned, you have used either a bot, Autohotkey (not certified and open source) or diablohelper.
and yes, a macro is way faster and more comfortable than this hideous numlock trick. especially at this build. look at your video and than compare it with my footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=IUK2Tua_C_I
by the way, your amulett stats should be CHC, CHD, FIRE%, Socket. Int should be only a second choice.
