The Amulet is negotiable, that just happens to be the one I'm using. If you want to roll for Hell fire Amulets aim for survival skills like Indestructible or Vigilant or free up a skill slot by rolling one of the ones above. Elemental Immunity amulets are also viable seeing as this build is squishy as hell.

Since you are pretty much a turret I have the Pain Enhancer and Gogok of Swiftness for rapid fire shield throwing, dodge and CDR. The Bane of the Stricken is a given since single target damage blows for the Holy version, you'll need a stacking damage buff and fixed damage buff against bosses and RGs.

Sadly toughness is a major weakness for this build, it only has the Aquila Cuirass to provide any damage reduction, swapping out the CoE for a Unity and Pain Enhancer for Esoteric Alteration might provide a boost for toughness but it would gimp the DPS pretty hard in my opinion.

Swapping out the Pain Enhancer for Zei's Stone of Vengence might be viable for the 100% pure ranged DPS, but the attack speed you get when mobs get in that 20 yard radius is crazy good for stacking Akkhan's Leniency, which I have had stacked over 70 in larger density packs.

I'm still polishing this build and don't even have all the pieces yet, but the rough build clears solo T12 easy as hell, but struggles with survivability in solo t13 when things don't die fast enough and you get bopped for a large chunk of your health. There was a build on this site before using the Combust rune for Blessed Shield and all the items that give bonus fire damage like Magefist and Cinder Cloak, that build I'm sure hits single targets fairly strong but I personally like the stronger AoE of Shattering Throw as its stacks the Akkhan's Leniency.

Build Guide

This is a WIP Blessed Shield Holy Damage Build, outright sux at single target but excels at multi-target clears.

Ever since the Avenger Shield was added to the Paladin in World of Warcraft I have loved that mechanic, so when Crusader came out and I found they had a similar spell for just DPS I fell in love. Sadly in vanilla Reaper of Souls I ended up going the thorn crusader long before it was even a thing, rolling all my yellow gear into having thorns damage on it, using the bonus thorns skill and popping Iron Skin Reflect to watch Elite mobs delete themselves. After a long break and the revamp of Diablo 3 I came back but I still couldn't get back into the sader groove I used to, I went Demon Hunter, a lot of Monk and even Barb but try as I might I just couldn't get the Crusader to work, even with the free Seeker of the Light set I for the first season they gave it away. But when they revamped the Legacy of Nightmares set I noticed all the nice Blessed Shield items that were about and I went to work for the remainder of the season, farming ancients, finding the right legendary powers and then POW I had a rough build and it was GLORIOUS, shields everywhere! Bouncing, buffing, bleeding, it was beautiful. I still think this can work, but it would need a lot of work and refinement, this is the build I think works the best at the moment, but my in-depth knowledge of this game is rookie at best, I'm pretty much putting this build together to show friends and see what they think about it. Probably could work in a 4 man meta so long as a dedicated Rift Guardian killer is present i.e. Shadow Demon Hunter or Lightning Hydra Wizard.
