Build Guide
Hey Peeps!
This build make use of the Akkhan set, however this build is used only used for T10 and maybe up to t13 depending on gear and gems and is fun to play with, if you enjoy playing as the crusader. The Akkhan set is still pretty weak, but at least this build is fun to play with.
This build also allows you to experiment with various legendaries as the Akkhan is a versatile set
Core Gameplay
- This build is based on the damage from Condemn with the Vacuum ruin
- Make sure to keep Akarat's Champion up, with good CDR and resource reduction on your gear
- Use Steed Charge to hunt elite packs
- Used Shield glare and Laws of Valor for more dps or resource collection. You can also swap out your Law for a resource generator like zeal
- Keep Akarat's Champion up, CDR is essential
- Use Unity if running solo
Another option is to run Focus and Restraint. As you run though the trash you do not always make use of the Endless Walk damage buff. You can then swap out Provoke for Slash or or Punish
You can also vary your choice of Gems
- Taeguk
- Wreath of Lightning
- Bain of the powerful
- Gogok for CDR
- Boon with a goldwrap for invincibility
I have tried to squeeze as much dps out as possible, if anyone has any feedback, please share
I really wish they buffed the Akkhan set so it's actually useful after the early game. This build is really fun to play and so are the other Akkhan builds but for some reason Blizzard gives this set no love and doesn't seem to give a care in the world that it is obsolete after the early game. I can do T70 tops with this build without augments, and even that is extremely difficult.
I went with Angel Hair Braid and Punish Retaliate instead of Shield Glare + Vigilante. This change gives you a lot more resource regeneration and lots more procs of the smite gem and allows you to change the Provoke rune to Hit Me and the Law rune to Critical. I also swapped Steed with Iron Skin: Flash since GRs are much more dense now and Flash gives you very good movement speed.
You also don't need resource reduction on any of your items if you can get perma Akkhan.
The build is fun but ultimately powerless compared to pretty much every other set.
I totally agree with you, I will also try your changes, moving through the trash is important. This also probably works well with focus and restraint. Endless walk actually isnt as good here as you constantly need to be finding trash to suck in. I wish the crusader gets some damage buffs or more useful legendaries. The other useful option for this build to create a zdps build, something I want to build again with AK
