For core skills i focused on getting both my vitality and inteligence to 50. I noticed after 50 that the stat numbers did not increase so i left it. After those two speed or mana were both equal in importance.
For offensive points cooldown and critical hit chance followed by attack speed
For defence i went armour and resist all for the first two and when they were maxed out i went with life per second
For utility area damage and resource cost were the two primary stats with life per hit being where i put my points after those were done.

This was a heroic build adapted from toying in regular.

The point of this build is to be right in the thick of it with your creatures. Using spirit walk to go through the enemy and apear on the other side to summon your fetish army. Using cloud of bats and big bad voodoo you turn yourself almost unstoppable.
Ive been maxing out my defence over 500m for the most part.
