Build Guide
It can be done 90+ but requires greatness and some skill changes. 80+ can be done kill everything for progress bar.
GEMS,
Purple to Head
Else Diamond.
Try to get %20 Fire Skill Damage from Bracer and Neck. Spam when Convention Element on Fire.
15% Life
I have played this build for 3 season now. Please show me in video how you get pass GR80!! Pass season my monk have 2.2million dps and have like 50+ fire damage inc and there no way in hell i can c how you can survive 90+ rift! IF you have not played this build yet don't post and state its 90+ .
Use unity on your follower also?!
Mystic Ally cannot wear it, so no. Follower can, so that's where you see it work. Almost every high GRift pusher uses Unity on self and Follower.
Isn't your weapon choice ineffective? If you want the Incense Torch of the Grand Temple's effect wouldn't it be better to use it on the cube and use two weapons on character, one beeing Kyoshiro's Blade and the other beeing something like Vengeful Wind, Crystal Fist or In-geom?
Quick question from a newbie: Why not 6 pieces of set to get the bonus?
The ring on the cube will give you the 6-piece bonus when you use only 5 pieces of the set. check Ring Of Royal Grandeur.
Unity the passive increases damage multiplier from the TWO allies you have summoned due to crudest boots.
Unity the ring equipped yourself and the follower along-with follower cannot die relic gives you 50% damage reduction basically with almost no loss.
This build has been around since at least 2.4:
http://www.diablofans.com/builds/70107-2-4-t6-swk-wol-start-build
We know it works, but GR90+... great claims require great proof.
with crudest boots, unity passive is already at max (20%) so the lunatics do nothing. Stun build with unity is better.
Thanks for the guide, indeed a very strong build.
1 thing i dont fully understand, is the logic behind the use of Bane of the Trapped and Zei's Stone of Vengeance At the same time ?
Make sense
thx
Indeed, WoL has been around for a long time. I personally use cubed Torch and combination of VW+KyBlade for the two socket crit damage bonus. I don't think ancient 4000dps torch can be better than that.
On a more serious note. This can't clear over 80. As soon as you start taking more than 10 seconds to clear mobs, you drop off rapidly. This is best as T13 speedfarm with hoarder, and always was.
Yes lest see a video.....
#1 I cannot answer, that will have to be the OP.
#2 Unity ring gives flat 50% DR (if your follower has an immortality relic and a unity ring equipped), Unity monk passive gives you a 5% damage boost by every ally affected by your mantras, this includes Mystic Allies but I'm not sure if it includes followers. Are there other passive options? yes. have you confused by Unity (Ring) with Unity (Passive)? Yes.
#3 Pinto's Pride + WoL procs BotT by slowing the enemies hit.
However even with perfectly rolled gear, lvl100 augments, lvl120 gems and high paragon I sincerely doubt this build can clear GR90+
I have played extensively a similar build but using 1H like @greenie and is good for torment and low lvl gr speed, and with crystal fist and IS can push low 80s (depending on your gear and paragon); equipping a 2H suddenly bumping 10 GR levels (which is almost x5 mob HP)... I would require proof.
Not a great build, without the sweeping wind weapon he'll dropp sweeping wind way too often, sweeping wind will do shit damage, the explosion will do shit damage (i know its shit from before, but even more shit than it usually does)
Cube staff, use the fist and sweeping wind fist. Ditch the boots and use travelers pledge + the compass rose for more damage+more survivability
could also use spiritguards for more survivability in cube aswell
As it stands, the build will give you trouble with sweeping wind + survivability at higher grifts
