This build is based around the Etched Sigil and fire damage. Playing around fire damage allows the use of Magefist and Cindercoat, 2 very strong items, for a cohesive build with the Mantle of Channeling the waist and the weapons to get the maximum out of using a channel spell.

You can use either Disintegrate with the convergence rune or Arcane Torrent with the flame ward rune, I find Disintegrate way more responsive so it's way easier to keep Taeguk stacked when moving out of boss' affixes with Disintegrate.

Then, some more options rise for the right click. I chose Wave of Force because no cooldown so it just keeps getting thrown every second and works very well with Audacity. Other nice options include Explosive Blast with the chain reaction rune or Energy Twister with gale force rune. If you can play without the Aether Walker, EB + Wand of Woh or Orb of Infinite Death in cube OR ET + The Twisted Sword in cube are really good combinations.

An ancient Deathwish is pretty much mandatory to finish a GR45.

Using Leoric's Crown with a topaz and Cindercoat makes channeling Disintegrate or Arcane Torrent free, and that's very convenient. I haven't found any other very useful helms so that was my default choice. Same for the legs, the Pox Faulds added melee AoE damage so why not, didn't find anything else more useful.

Quick notes on Stone of Jordan and Hellfire Amulet. I didn't find anything that felt much more useful. The Hellfire Amulet gives a 5th passive, that's the best you can get from an amulet without a set bonus but I'm not even sure. Mine had Paralysis which was not of any use but was ancient with 10% CHC + 92% CHD + 900 int so any amulet with that can do the trick. Instead of int, you can even try %fire damage if it's not ancient. As for the ring, my lack of damage made me value 25-30% increased damage to boss highly. Other options include Convention of Elements which will make you rekt anything during the fire phase, maybe Obsidian if you're using Explosive Blast or Oculus.

About the cube. I can't really play withtout Aether Walker I'm too used to it, but if you can, use a legendary power enhancing a skill you use obviously, Wand of Woh for Explosive Blast works very well. I tried some Energy Twister with The Twisted Sword too and it was nice. Also, since Crown + Cindercoat make Disintegrate free, you have arcane power to cast the Twisters yourself while keeping Taeguk stacked. Ancient Parthan Defenders with Halo of Arlyse and the ice reflect rune on Ice Armor makes it so that monsters are always stunned around you and that's a lot of damage reduction against boss' affixes and shooters, that's really really insane. Finally, Unity with one on the templar for additional damage reduction.

Finally, the gems. Topaz in the Crown for free Disintegrate and in torso and legs for MOAR deeps.
Taeguk at lvl50 gives 40% additional damage when stacked (10 stacks max at 4% each), that's neat. I didn't find the motivation to lvl it higher since I wouldn't find any use to it outside of this conquest. Bane of the Trapped and of the Strickens were lvl65 when I got the conquest, really help to have them as high as possible of course. My first tries were with an Esoteric Alteration but I was lacking damage way too much even though I had to move way less.

Build Guide

Hello everyone,

This is the build I used to get the GR45 conquest (without any set item).
Buff up, TP to mobs, left click them until death, repeat. Quite straightforward.
