Build Guide
Sunwuko's 2 piece bonus 50% damage reduction while 'Sweeping Winds ' is active . Augmented by Belt : Kyoshiro's Soul .Sweeping winds gains two stacks evrey second . It never runs out. We replace Cyclone strike . less micro management of skills and a constant 50 % reduction in damage with out having to pop Cyclone Strike every 5 seconds . Full Raiment 6 set bonus 5 pieces of Raiment gear . Massive damage . Better Spirit management to combat the 'Shenlong's Spirit drain using 'Sweeping Winds ' in synergy with 'Breath of Heaven' and ' Epiphany And 'Belt' Kyoshiro's Soul . Gamer Wolfcryer came up with this idea . And I like it better then my R6 Raiment build with Cyclone strike . Went to over 100 Grateful Dead shows . This build less to think about ;-)
I'm all for making gen monk less micromanagement, but keep in mind you are losing Endless Walk (100% multiplier or 50% reduction) and essentially equipping a belt with no other useful stats. Now, you are gaining the CoE which could maybe make up for the endless walk multiplier; but, wouldn't be worth it when you factor in the belt (WH being a lot of dps, SoE being quite a bit more defense)t, and the loss of cyclone (our only means of pulling into oculus circle), I'm afraid it's just not worth it.
Unfortunately, there's really only two ways I personally, can hypothesize genmonks getting out of this. The first, would be some wacky way/thing... like from a bug, snapshotting, or an overlooked item. For example, figuring out a way to get around Cord of the Sherma's ICD (which i don't think we even know how long it is), or perhaps a new gem combination? Dropping trapped for...the dream gem: Mirinae. Or, I should probably say my dream gem.
The second, would be to revist the glory days of Static Charge, and figure out a way to reliably stun monsters which then proc APDs. I'm not sure how much stun gloves and a freeze belt would help though, that is, without the combination of static charge making sure everything is getting constantly hit.
Or I could be wrong about all of this, and the version you posted ends up being superior, which would be the best case scenario for all of us i think.
The best way to stun monsters for a monk is to use a LTK build with LoN, and wear frostburns, iceblink...and you figure out the rest. This way you can constantly stun mobs, use zeis for increased damage, and possibly do something with a rimeheart if you don't want to run in-geom or crystal fist. the cold LTK rune is really deadly and if it works properly with rimeheart and frostburns it could be a deadly combo
Thanks for the shout out man!
