Build Guide
Hey guys!
This build is a personal favorite of mine, among all crusader builds. And i think it deserves more glory! Even though LON bomb is crazy good for both speedfarming and gr pushing, this build is also equally fast(and even FASTER with augments/higher paragon) in Nephalem Rifts and lower Greater Rifts for gem upgrades/bounty farming.
For the last two patches (2.4.1 and 2.4.2), both buffs and nerfs happened.
1) Akarath's Champion is a global DPS multiplier (2.4.1)
2) Enforcer is a global PET's dps multiplier (instead of additive) (2.4.1)
3) Bane of the Powerful is a global dps multiplier (instead of additive) (2.4.1)
4) Judgment -Resolved nerfed from 20% to 8% CHC (2.4.2)
5) Laws of Valor - Critical nerfed from 100% to 50% CHD. (2.4.2)
With all ancients and no augments i am steamrolling everything up to gr55-t12 in 3-4 minutes. For t13 you need more paragon (1500-2000+)\augments to be effectively strong and speedy.
General Game\Skill Tips:
1) 50% cdr is good.
2) Eternal Union/Baleful Remnant is good for lower content like t6-t10.
3) Hasteful can be switched to Firestarter, especially if you run with Fire Walkers in lower grifts.
4) Endurance can be used for lengthy bounty/boss runs.
5) Laws of Hope - Wings of Angels/Warzechain Armguards for more crazy speed in Nephalem Rifts
Overall i suggest to equip all ancients possible first and then augment best pieces. This will compensate strength adavantage of higher paragon.
I am running gr50 very fast with p1350 and NO AUGMENTS. This is equal to p800 with 10 lvl 60 augments.
Thank you!

Yo, how many Ancients do you recommend to start off with LoN Bomb/LoN Phalanx? Hit GR70 with Invokers and seem to have hit a wall. I have 6 right now
So, basicly, you need all ancient gear to make this work, and over 1500 Paragon to get to T13 farming speed. Thats quite a lot.
Tried this build with 8 ancients and barely managed to do a GR50, which is a drop over 20 GR downwards. Sadly, I have to give this a pass, with 8 ancients you should be able to farm quiet a lot more I think. Not a bad build, but not an awesome one too
I am running build in gr50 with p1350 and no augments. That would be equal to p800 with 9 lvl 60 augments.
hello and thanks for the build!
Just wondering what your thoughts on using Pain Enhancer over Bane of the Powerful are? I was under the impression that the attack speed bonus is more beneficial to this build (maybe more so due to the attack speed drop from switching out Baleful Remnant for Furnace).
The DOT physical damage that PE provides is tiny compared to damage done by the Phalanx, As for attack speed - it's good indeed to reach higher break point, but to benefit from attack speed you need to be close to a huge pack of mobs, which is not often possible as you are
1)always moving and constantly relocating
2) mobs just die too fast
And BOTP is a global solid 20% multiplier now and 15% elite boost and damage reduction. Too good now.
Thank you so much for the quick response!
I guess it never really occurred to me just how tiny 20 yards is in game XD the attack speed buff is as you said not often possible to take advantage of (at least not enough to justify it's choice over Bane of the Powerful).
Another question I have is what do you personally think is the "sweet spot" in torment level for this build?
I've read a few posts on reddit that say people should play 10-12 depending on which they can complete in around 2 minutes or less.
I've also seen t13 regarded as inefficient outside of builds that lose no speed such as LTK monk and some UE demon hunters etc.
T11 is also good both solo and group. T12 is slower in groups. T13 i already need augments for sure, too slow for me.
Thanks again this is in my opinion the best current guide for a fun and very effective build for crusader.
I've been running phalanx bowmen since the day i saw jabs guide however that was back in 2.4 and although it still contains a lot of relevant information... this is updated and contains fresh ideas that I think work better for the current patch.
It's just too bad I spent soooooo many re-rolls on my Baleful Remnant XD now I need to make the switch to Furnace.
p.s. Bombard is lame as fuck and I feel disappointed seeing every single sader in pubs running it.
Thank you for feedback!
My only ancient Baleful Remnant rolled with VIT instead of strength, lol.
this build is the most fun i had in d3 in a long time
i dont get how anyone can play without the 200% ring though, so short duration, less fun :3
probably 3000+paragon to speed farm t13
but i have enjoyed playing this build
I know. I tested it on T13 with very good gear and 1300+para. You are one of the few people who is doing accurate builds. Keep up the good work!
Nice build idea. Since I only do a little seasonal casual play I do not have any ancient ring and no ancient tasker&theo yet, so I cannot really try. What I would find interesting is to try to combine this with a bombardment build, given that both builds have a lot of nice-to-have slots that could be used.
So, using mortal drama instead of in-geom and iron maiden instead of long arm and boyarsky's chip instead of bane of the powerful, a belt of the trove instead of the ones used here, and foregoing heart of iron, lidless wall, no fervor cdr and no yellow gem in the weapon and you might be able to combine both builds. Of course, getting a good cdr, thorns and chc and chd might be a bit too many attributes, so compromises would have to be made. The question is what the right focus is: bombardment with some attached phalanxes, or phalanxes with some bombardment. Given that this build is mostly for speed farming, one could start with some physical bombardment rune and belt of the trove with mortal drama and see if this makes it faster on torment XIII.
As I said, I have a scrub crudader, but I would love to see that idea explored by someone with actual gear to pull it of.

I tried making my own variant of this kind of build, what do you think? I fooled around with the stats a bit to make sure they weren't exaggerated and perfect, so the items are actually realistically rolled.
*P.S the rare pants are supposed to be Swampland Waders, d3planner doesn't let you use em on different classes.
