Ring of Royal Grandeur
The build is centered around five pieces of Armor of Akkhan (chest is mandatory) and two pieces of Thorns of the Invoker (bracers are mandatory) with Ring of Royal Grandeur in Kanai's cube to get Akkhan's six piece bonus.
Try to get as much Strength, Thorns damage and CDR as possible. To better manage your cooldowns you have In-geom and Akarat's Champion rune Rally for your disposal.
Physical damage on your bracers and amulet are recommended.
With rings you have more freedom. You can fiddle around with some combinations which you found most plausible. Avarice Band, Justice Lantern, Stone of Jordan (with Physical damage), Convention of Elements are all solid choices.
If you want more toughness you can go with The Traveler's Pledge combo.
If u have Hellfire Amulet, good fifth passive is Hold Your Ground. For group play, the Long Arm of the Law passive with Laws of Hope-Wings of Angels is also good choice for boosting your party movement speed. For more defensive choices, Vigilant or Indestructible are also fine.

Build Guide
Flexible speed farming build for nephalem rifts around level T10 (depending on your gear, paragon points, mood you can go lower or higher for more efficiency).
Try to have Akarat's Champion active for all the time.
Just saddle up on your horse and wreak havoc with your thorns (you can activate Iron Skin before).
On elites use Iron Skin and then Bombardment.
With Rally rune on your Akarat's Champion you can lower your cooldowns by 12 seconds.
For more speed (and pickup radius for progress globes mainly) you can go with Avarice Band - Boon of the Hoarder combo, or if you feel your damage is not high enough, you can swap Boon of the Hoarder gem with Bane of the Powerful.
Topaz in your weapon is a must. Try to have the most Thorns damage as possible.
With right usage this is very fun and effective build. You just riding with your horse from elite to elite and destroy them with your Bombardment or Spiked Barding,
If u have questions, I will be glad to provide answers to my best ability.
+1 good build
Why avarice band and no goldwrap & BotH? Also isn't rally and ingeom overkill?
I'm running Akkhans Addendum in cube for more toughness. That way I can run heart of iron, SoJ, & BotP instead of the goldwrap, avarice, & BotH combo.
Good build though.
Would unity be better if you were solo?
Punish also activates your Invoker's 2pc Bonus as well.
The only issue i have with this build is that it's so fast that public groups rarely can keep up with you. lol And I have an LTK monk, still never felt this fast. Oh well!
I think it's the fact you're always on your horse moving forward. Monk can dash, sure, but there are moments of regular movement. Not this build! Just go go go.
Great build, you just might have to wait for others to catch up from time to time.
(Actually, I'm sure a properly played LTK could definitely keep up. Pubs with slow players might be the issue here, and one I'm just now starting to see having played more public games this season. I think it's just the fact you're on a horse riding away that amplifies the jerkiness feeling.)
edit: Ah I see you've said you prefer this solo, well consider this my long winded way of agreeing with you.
