Build Guide
In my opinion/experience this is the second strongest and definitely one of the easiest to play DH builds for Solo Greater Rifts, although it is not incredibly consistent.
Note: I always keep my diablo fans guides updated and current. I will make adjustments to the guide whenever there is a shift in meta! So be sure to check back from time to time and don't forget to up-vote the guide! please and thanks!
HFA Passive = Steady Aim or Ambush
beginner alternatives
If you have survivability issues you can consider trying a few combinations of these;
Run the Leech passive for healing, this will allow you to kill reflect and recovering from taking damage much easier
Run Hunter's Wrath over Witching Hour
Run Evasive Fire Hardened over Focus for more armor
For even more toughness you can swap Convention of Elements to Elusive Ring or Unity, this will significantly weaken the build but make it that much easier to survive.
At low levels powerful usually outperforms stricken, up to around high 70s depending on player progression
advanced alternatives
If you are attempting to push your limit with the build and have a solid handle on positioning and surviving I recommend swapping Visage of Gunes to Cindercoat
swap some of the vitality/cooldown to resource reduction/area damage, specifically on the gloves/quiver/rings/shoulders
potentially swap stricken to powerful depending on how long the RG takes powerful can outperform stricken
on softcore you can consider dropping awareness for all damage passives (ballistics, steady aim, cull the weak, thrill the hunt, ambush)
Endless walks + SoJ is viable substitution for Focus and Restraint the trade-off is potentially slightly favorable toward the EW > FNR assuming optimal gameplay, so if you really want to push with UE and are experienced DH I do recommend you give this setup a shot.
group variation
swap Thrill of the Hunt to Awareness if the group is procing your slows
In group, you can also consider swapping the build to Cold, Wind Chill gives 15% crit chance to the whole group!
this will free up Ballistics for Numbing Traps (for group toughness) or Single Out (for Rift Guardian dps)

CDR % seem to be wrong atm. i think we need way more?
This should be enough to get you to 37-38% for 100% vengeance uptime.
Also another defense option is to swap Wolf Companion for Boar Companion for extra all-resistance.
Since secondary stats aren't listed in the stat priority for each item, can you make a note of which pieces can have +Max Disc on them? I never can remember. ><
hey, for ancient Yang's Recurve, should i go for higher base dmg roll or does max discipline provide more dmg output through 6p set bonus? thanks
I believe the max discipline is most important
max discipline
It's mentioned in the guide
Endless walks + SoJ is viable substitution for Focus and Restraint
the trade-off is potentially slightly favorable toward the EW > FNR assuming optimal gameplay, so if you really want to push with UE and are experienced DH I do recommend you give this setup a shot.
yes, but more than just ancient gear, properly rolled ancient gear, paragon levels, gem levels, and augments carry a lot of weight. GR90 with UE isn't really a claim by me, it's the upper limit of the build as represented by the non-seasonal leaderboard (meaning that's close to the limit with a fully maxed out perfectly optimized setup)
Great build!! I'm still working on getting all ancient gear, and I also tweaked the build to better suit my playstyle, but so far I can carry at least 2 pple in a game with me on gr65 no problem. I'm pretty excited to see how far I can go once I get more ancient gear!
@Lunity ,
I am NOT the author of this build, nor do I even know the author, so this is all my personal opinion.
Now with that being said lol, I would assume the reason for the author suggesting VIT on gloves and not CDR is mainly because when you have CDR on all the other gear it can be on, plus with the paragon CDR and maybe even a diamond in the helm, you have already reached the CDR% needed for 100% uptime when using vengeance. At least that is the case for my char specifically lol.
Small help would be appriciated related to the build.

I'm not sure should I take out 10 of resource cost from weapon and to reroll it into IAS, since it's going to give biggest dmg output. I'm not certain how much 10% lower cost reduction will affect the build.
P.S. Original affix is 42.3%, I can reroll 10% when I check affixes for reroll in game.
