Standard chicken HT build with some additional tweaks specifically for speedrunning TX:

Skills

- Many people run Communing With Spirits rune for Wall of Death; the damage reduction is essential for pushing GRs, but is completely useless for TX. We use Fire Wall instead for faster AOE trash clearing.

- Likewise, many people run Chilled to the Bone rune on Zombie Dogs for higher GRs, again this is completely unnecessary for TX, as everything dies before it can proc. Use Burning Dogs for faster AOE trash clearing.

- Gargantuan (Humongoid), Hex (Angry Chicken), Piranhas (Piranhado) are all standard for HT chicken. Take these, no exceptions.

- The last slot I use Soul Harvest (Soul to Waste) for an extra 25% movement speed. Just re-cast this on every elite and enjoy an extra 25% movement speed for the entire rift. An alternative is Spirit Walk, but I find that Soul Harvest is more consistent and easy to manage.

Passives

- Grave Injustice and Midnight Feast are mandatory. Grave Injustice keeps your angry chicken always available, and Midnight Feast is the single biggest damage increase passive.

- Gruesome Feast is the actual biggest damage increase, but requires stacking health globes. Luckily, this build uses Goldwrap + Avarice Band + Boon of the Hoarder, so the pickup radius means you instantly get every health globe after every elite pack without even having to run towards them. You should have this ability perma-stacked for massive damage increase throughout the rift.

- The last passive is somewhat open for preference, I use Fierce Loyalty for permanent 15% movement speed since the damage is already plenty with Midnight Feast + Gruesome Feast + gear. If you are still lacking in damage then use Confidence Ritual or Pierce the Veil (Confidence Ritual is slightly better in my opinion)

Gear

- Mask of Jeram + 5 pieces of Helltooth + T&T + RoRG are mandatory, period. MoJ and T&T are the 2 biggest damage increases, so you need both, which requires RoRG in the cube so you can use both and still get HT 6set bonus.

- Manajuma's 2set is also mandatory, as this build is painfully slow without it.

- SMF is mandatory, it is roughly 9x damage on your Gargantuan, it is the single biggest damage increase from gear. No exceptions on this one.

- The other pieces are somewhat flexible, but the choices I have listed are optimal:

1. Avarice Band: this ring is superior to the other options. You don't need additional damage, and Avarice Band helps with speedclearing:

a. Increased pickup radius means you instantly grab all health globes to keep Gruesome Feast consistent.

b. Increased pickup radius means you instantly grab all gold, which means goldwrap gives you perma-invulnerability throughout the rift. Avarice Band with Boon of the Hoarder + goldwrap takes care of all toughness issues in TX. Also Boon of the Hoarder speedboost will have 100% uptime -> faster overall clear time

c. Increased pickup radius means you get all rift progress orbs instantly -> faster overall clear time

Just trust me and use this ring! You don't need more damage from Endless Walk, Convention of Elements, or Tall Man's Finger, and the other benefits far outweigh anything else other rings would provide.

2. Goldwrap: as mentioned in #1, when you use this together with Avarice Band + Boon of the Hoarder, you get perma-invulnerability. You can even not wait for Molten explosions. This is way more useful for speedrunning than the extra damage from Witching Hour.

3. Nemesis Bracers - this is just for more elites -> faster overall clear time (and better loot). You shouldn't need Lakumba's because of Goldwrap + Boon of the Hoarder + Avarice Band combo.

4. Hellfire Amulet - 5th passive is Confidence Ritual or Pierce the Veil.

5. The Furnace - this may not be needed once you get optimized gear, if so then swap this out for Thing of the Deep for even more pickup radius

Gearstats

This assumes you have all standard proper rolls on gear:

- Every piece of gear has intelligence on it.

- Every piece of gear that can roll crit chance and/or crit damage should have it.

- Every piece of gear that can have a socket must have it.

- Weapon should have % damage/socket and either attack-speed or area damage (area damage is preferred for gargantuan builds)

1. 3 pieces of gear can get up to +15% Gargantuan damage: Shoulders, Chest, and Mojo. You should aim to get this on all 3.

2. Intelligence/Socket/Crit Chance/Crit Damage amulet is fine, the +20% cold damage is just min-maxing the amulet as much as possible (requires amulet to have all 4 stats so that you can re-roll intelligence to cold damage)

3. 12% Movement speed on boots will let you spend 24 more paragon points in intelligence, so this is also a minor optimization

4. For defensive stats, the priority is Vitality -> Armor -> Life %. Armor > All Resist for Witch Doctors since their mainstat (Intelligence) gives all Resist.

Gems

Helm: Diamond for more CDR for higher uptime on Hex

Weapon: Emerald for maximum sheet damage

Chest/Legs: Topaz for more Intelligence

*Obviously these should all be flawless royal

Legendary Gems

- Bane of the Trapped is the single biggest damage multiplier for gems. This is mandatory, period.

- Boon of the Hoarder is used along with Avarice Band + Goldwrap, as explained above. This is also required for the build.

- The 3rd gem is somewhat up to preference. There are 2 damage options: Enforcer or Bane of the Powerful. Bane of the Powerful is basically a 35% damage multiplier, while Enforcer is 15% + .3% per level. Since they are both separate multipliers after 2.4.1 patch, you should use whichever is highest. Enforcer surpasses 35% starting at rank 67, so until you get it to 67 use Bane of the Powerful. If you need more speed, use Wreath of Lightning. If you need more toughness (though you shouldn't with Avarice Band + BotH + Goldwrap), then use Esoteric Alteration.

Build Guide

Pretty easy skill rotation. If you are unfamiliar with chicken HT build, it's basically this:

1. Have gargantuans and zombie dogs summoned

2. Use angry chicken, zoom around the map looking for the next elite pack

3. Explode the chicken on the elite, immediately use Wall of Death to proc helltooth set bonus

4. Also immediately use Soul Harvest to refresh your stacks

5. Piranhado is for clumping up enemies on your gargantuans for fast killing

6. Once elites are dead, repeat steps #2 - #5 until rift is over

Enjoy!
