Avarice Band
Since this setup is with the Legacy of Nightmares "no-set" rings, you want to have as many ancient items as possible. I would say the lower end to use it is with 10 ancient items. Going from 10 to 11 items is a dps boost of "only" 10%, from 10 to 13 actually is "only" 30%, wich is less than the difference of 2 levels in the greater rifts.
You have freedom of choice in many slots, only Dawn, Mantle of Channeling and Hexing Pants are a "must", the other items can be replaced with whatever you have that is ancient - basically. However, replacing Andariels Visage is a big DPS loss.
In the cube, you can alternate between Avarice Band, Convention of Elements and Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac, depending on the level (T10: Avarice, G50: Zodiac, G60: Convention)
You can also easily use this setup in Hardcore. You gain a free cheat death and you can use Fortress Ballista / Lidless Wall for more survivability.
Also, it is easy to trade speed for more damage, you can see the options for yourself here i guess.
But: NEVER replace Pain Enhancer. It's THAT good!

Im not much "into" paragon point distribution. Just use what gives you the highest benefit. Most likely Movementspeed and Cooldown Reduction in the beginning. It always depends on your gear, so there's not one true answer.
Build Guide
Hey Foaks!
In 2.4.1 its not easy to find really improved setups as a DH, compared to 2.4. However, this one fulfills all requirements.
This build is potentially the fastest setup possible for Demon Hunters in the respective farming levels. You move extremely fast, trash dies while you pass by and you have a nuke that blows rift guardians out of the water in one single shot. Its got very smooth gameplay and you do not even need high paragon for it. You just need the gear, thats it.
I tried to beat this setup with my Cold-UE Multishot setup (Permafrost Multishot) that completely oneshots the content in the levels i did (G50, T10). And still its slower ... Speedfarming is not only about damage!
It is not 100% my own doing. I got inspired by philosophios and his FoK/Strafe setup. However, i do many things different here, just check it out!
If you happen to have any doubts about its power, watch the Video i made about that setup with level 50 gems and ZERO Paragon points assigned (other than for movement speed!): Zero Paragon & Level 50 Gems - 2-3min for T10
Hope you enjoy it as much as i do! If you do, plz vote it up :-)
Cheers,
Dunk
I love your build but i need some good stuff.. i good in t8 butt in t10. Mob explode me..
At what level Pain Enhancer does T10 become so fast?
Mine is level 50 and it doesn't seem to do much damage.
Interesting build. I would have thought Valla's Bequest mandatory for all Strafe builds but you have proven me wrong
Is the %Physical preferred because of the Pain Enhancer? Also, why Assassin's Blade and not Pinpoint Accuracy? My first impression would be to go for %Lightning to boost Strafe dmg and use Pintpoint Accuracy to make it lighting based.
@Dunkelvieh does the strafe rune turn the skill into lightning skill ? ( i'm newbie )
what's rcr ? and cdr (meant cooldown reduction) ?
are all dps come from FoK ?
anyway thank you so much great works and enlighten me !
For even more speed you can swap out Calamity for Liannas Wings and put smoke screen displacement on your bar instead of either companion or preparation.
That setup might be better for bounties.
Thanx. I have tested it a bit now and seems to work without preparation as long as you aren't wasting shadow power all the time and keep picking up healthglobes. Very rarely seem to run out of discipline. Gonna have to test it a bit more in groups though.
You could also run SP with well of darkness rune for a ~10% speed loss for 45% less discipline cost.
Some alternatives if u're like me and get good hellfire amulet roll with natural selection affix:
2nd hand weapon - K'mar Tenclip
And for this weapon + amulet affix combo you can change strafe rune for icy trail
+ in cube instead of Nemesis Bracers i put Frostburn for another extra 20% dmg from cold (icy trail and strafe)
assuming u're moving throught mobs u're slowing enemies with icy trails + u've got 50% chance to freeze them (frostborn) what is big bonus to your survivability
