Took you about 2.5 min run without looting anything and you call this top 3 TX build? You have almost perfect gears (all ancients with good rolls + augmented) and a pretty decent map as well. This is laughable.
I agree that it's better than 2.4. The changes to Skull Grasp is awesome, but that's about it, could've made a 15 sec video explaining this and how it will be nice in 2.4.1
Ah ok, sorry. I thought you meant top 3 overall, because this is nowhere close to DH - UE Frost for example. Even with sub-par gears (less than half ancient, no augment, non perfect stats/rolls) and less than 800 Paragon, we can clear TX in 2-2.5 minutes consistently (2.4). It will be even faster in 2.4.1
If lower paragon is having survival issues, replace Hex pants with Mantle of Channeling, cubed, for the damage and the reduction of damage. Switch a passive to weapons master or unforgiving as well to make up the fury regen. Works for me...
This is not going to work well for most people under 1000 paragon and without full augments, and high gems. Just not there with the dps and survive. Take heed!!
That's why I have problem with this type of guide. You're not supposed to use an example with all ancient gears with good rolls AND stats, high paragon and full augmented gears just to farm TX at 2.5 mins average clear time. If it's a guide for high GR clear, that's more acceptable because that's the end game goal.
I don't see anyone farming 5-8 hours a day for more than 2 weeks (rough estimate) just to be able to farm TX at 2.5 mins rate. If you're not looting and only do this for the rift key, that means your main purpose of farming TX is to farm Rift Keys to do GR. If we're counting 9 pieces of gear that's augmented with lvl 70 gems (I'm not counting rings, amulet and belt because it can be used with other build, so it's not completely useless), that means you spend at least 158 Rift Keys (assuming you empowered EVERY SINGLE GR runs) just to get the gems to augment the gears that you shown on the video.
This build can work with sub-par gear, but it will be either:
a.) Really slow, 5-7mins + on TX, or
b.) 2-4 mins run on Torment 7 or 8 at best.
If you really want to just farm Rift Key on TX, making a DH from scratch would probably be the better way. It's already really fast this season
and I can see it be even faster next season with the buffs.
PS: A good example of a good build was Flash Fire Wiz on Season V. I only have a normal Wand of Woh and maybe 2-3 ancient gears, 0 augment, lvl 40-50 gems on my rings/amulet, was in Para 400-500 and I'm still able to farm 400-500 DB per hour.
quick question. im just know finding out from watching this video that there is a new version of skull grasp ring. in the video yours says 400% damage. and mine says 400% weapon damage. how can i get the one you have? do i have to get it as a drop again?
In 2.4.1 there is a new version of the skull grasp, you will have to get a new one and it rolls with 250-300% WW (mulitiplicative)dmg instead of 300-400% WW (additive)dmg. The skull grasp on live will become a legacy item, so we recommend keeping one in your stash but you will have to get a new skull grasp to get the new effect. So it's not on live yet. On live, I recommend obsidian ring of the zodiac in the cube.

can i please see some video footage of those super fast clears? i have exactly the setup that you mention and i'm below para 800 and my clears are nowhere near 2 minutes, cold or fire doesn't matter, more like 5 minutes it is.
its quite impossible to get a cdr on every item...
so pretty much, you need to equip skull ring + elemental ring or unity for solo...
You don't need 100% uptime on WOTB
It's quite possible to get CDR on every item that can roll CDR
I think you're operating under the assumption that you need WOTB for toughness and that's incorrect. It's just there for damage boost. This build is tanky as is.
I'm having a browse and test run through different characters for the new season at the moment & I have to say, is this seriously considered a good speed build for the Barb? I haven't played the Barb for 2+ seasons, but it was by far the fastest speed clearer back then. The DH arrows, Monk bells and Crusader pony/LONbombs all have sub-90 second TX clearing builds that can be done easily in that time by Paragon 500-600. You can do solo <2min runs with those builds by P400. I finished inside top-500 on two different leader-boards this season & didn't even finish with 800paragon, this build is showing you need perfect gear, perfect rolls & 1000+ paragon to do a TX clear in 3min.... ? What the heck happened to the Barb?
I've definitely gotten sub 90 second clears using this build with zero paragon points allocated. Comparing to other classes is never a good practice. Monk has some amazing TX builds next season but they also don't compare to barb High GR solo clears. It's a give and take really. But you're right, it's not as good as some of the other classes TX setups right out of the gate.
Back when this build was made I don't think Mantle of Channeling was introduced into the game yet. Would you say it's a viable alternative or even superior to having Hexing pants in the cube?
Is there a variation to counter jailers? I'm running with early gear now (a few ancients) and everytime I encounter a jailer I get my butt smacked because I can't spin and dodge.

I'm not picking up any elite globes either... It's top 3 no doubt.
Just to clarify, did you mean top 3 Barb or top 3 overall? Also what other builds do you think belongs in the top 3?
I should have specified. Top 3 Barb for sure. Not overall.
As far as what else belongs in the top 3? Definitely High CDR IK6/R4.
The number 3 slot is up in the air. I like Volcano Barb updated for 2.4.1. Which I will also make a guide on later.

Picking up globes, I averaged 2 minutes 34.8 seconds per rift
insane build! you got my upvote. lets hope we see you on the week or even month page.

Superior in a TXIII setting
Morticks bracers need to be brought back in the game. Would do wonders for not only this build but everyone. God how i miss it ;(
