Convention of Elements
gear/cube: wear the best roll of whatever you get, cube the effects otherwise. justinian's mercy certainly isn't necessary and you can cube in the furnace for damage, but it sure is fun and increases the speed of clearing small mobs during steed charge tremendously.
jewelry: strongly recommend having obsidian ring of the zodiac (either worn or cubed) to increase insanely fast cooldown refresh for falling sword, steed charge, and akarat's champion. avarice band with boon of the hoarder can also greatly increase speed and mobility for regular rifts. unity or stone of jordan are also solid rings choices. ess of johan or eye of eldritch are also solid amulet choices
gems: defensive gems (i had survivability issues): molten wildebeest gizzard, esoteric alteration, moratorium
offensive gems: bane of the powerful, bane of the stricken, gogok of swiftness
utility gems: boon of the hoarder (regular rifts/bounties)

Build Guide
This build is largely for fun, and just a fast and enjoyable way to play a lightning hammerdin-themed crusader.
As far as the playstyle/rotation:
1. steed charge to find a mob
2. activate akarat's champion (whenever you can, during combat)
3. falling sword into the middle of the mob, which will stun and proc hammer jammers.
4. activate your law
5. activate provoke
6. unleash a flurry of damage boosted, resource reduced blessed hammers. repeat as necessary, then steed charge again
fun, fast.
Great build. Clearing GR 50s with ease. What other rings would you recommend since you are wearing convention of elements and then you have it in the cube as well?
The jewelry is super loose--I think the only combination that doesn't work is Focus/Restraint (since you have no generator to proc it).
I believe an ideal situation would be Traveler's Pledge/Compass Rose, but you can play around with a variety of things.
I'm using a Convention of Elements and a Bul Kathos ring (I have bad luck with jewelry), with Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac in the cube. I recommend getting Obsidian in there because it helps reduce cd on Akarats and Steed Charge tremendously, and you can cast Falling Sword again before enemies are even finished being stunned)
If you're grifting solo, try for a Unity for survival, or a Stone of Jordan for more damage (both can be runed with a Bane of the Powerful for even more Elite % damage).
Speaking of Unity, if you have a follower active, try equipping them with Ess of Johan, it's like adding a free extra taunt.
Why not use "ring of royal grandeur"?
easyer to use the ring and maby get another set bonus as well........
