Build Guide

Hello everyone, I am Daidelos and I want to share a classic fire cookiecutter build for 2.1. Hope I have covered everything, but if you have some questions or think an important piece of information is missing, just let me know.

The build is centered around Hydra-Mammoth Hydra combined with Energy Twister-Gale Force and Conflagration for making enemies extremely prone to fire dmg. Firebird set bonus will activate shortly, and everything will be shred apart in no time. See the video for a build in action, the second part of it is elite compilation, so you can see how it wrecks everything.

---Build---

Magic Misile is used for complementary dmg when we are out of arcane power, which won't happen a lot if using Cindecoat.

Energy Twister goes very well with all fire skills. It will make our foes take huge amount of extra fire dmg.

Black Hole is used for crowd control, but it also deals a good amount of dmg on it's own.

Hydra is our main build focus, and with two of them, everything will melt in seconds.

Mirror Images are our best friends. They will suck everything into Black Holes, use Energy Twisters to amplify fire dmg and generally distract enemies. You can also use this skill to break free from crowd control effects. All in all, amazing skill.

Energy Armor is plane defense cast and forget skill.

Passives: Blur for 17% dmg mitigation, Astral Presence to fill our arcane power faster, Conflagration to help us crit more (this is global 6% increased crit chance, so everyone can benefit) and Illusionist for "Oh frack" situations and nice move speed boost.

---Items---

Head: Firebird's Plume, I would stick with this one for a head piece. There are better Firebird pieces to replace.

Shoulders: Firebird's Pinions. No other shoulders come close.

Amulet: Hellfire Amulet with something like Audacity is going to be BIS, but Wizard has so many worthless passives, it is going to be hard to get a good one. So it is good to stick with "prevent dmg type and heals you for the same amount" amulets.

Torso: Cindercoat, it makes our life so much easier. Fire skills are cheaper, fire dmg is greater, what is not to love here. Alternative can be Goldskin in greater rifts maybe, but I am going to stick with this amazing fire chest forever.

Wrists: Reaper's Wraps, useful, but not mandatory. It is definitely a no brainer, but there are some other choices. Krelm's Buff Bracers are good for knockback and stun imunity, and Custerian Wristguards goes really well with Boon of the Hoarder.

Hands: Magefist or Firebird's Talons if you really want, but my advice is stick with % fire dmg.

Waist: Goldwrap, this belt in combination with Boon of the Hoarder is OP. We become almost immune to dmg. It is ridiculously good if you have packs of monsters, and let's be honest, that is 90% of the time. But if you aim for the Tal Rasha's set, go with Tal Rasha's Brace, or The Witching Hour for flat dmg boost.

Legs: Firebird's Dawn, no other options.

Feet: Firebird's Tarsi or maybe Ice Climbers, but again, there are better replacable Firebird pieces.

Rings: RROG, Unity and SOJ, it is like only those 3 rings exist in this game tbh.

Weapon: Serpent's Sparker. It allows you to have 2 hydras, and having 2 Mammoth Hydras is super potent.

Offhand: Firebird's Eye for 20% increased fire dmg or Mirrorball if you just like to spam MM so much.

Legendary gems: Boon of the Hoarder, OP gem, it help us on so many levels. Mitigation, gold for crafting, and if paired with Custerian bracers, even for exp. Not sure about other gems, Bane of the Powerfull can do wonders, but nothing else is mandatory really.

---Gameplay---

Check the video for actual footage. Cast your Arcane Armor, scout with your Hydras, pull everything with Black Hole and use Gale Force whenever you can. Mirror Images are up almost all the time with Illusionist, don't forget to use them if stunned, feared, frozen... Group enemies, don't try to fight alone, because gold explosions from trash mobs will make you almost immune to dmg.

Go now, march forth! Burn everyone, leave none standing!
