More Details
  • Legendary Gems

    • Bane of the Powerful
    • Moratorium
    • Mirinae, Teardrop of the Starweaver
Mirinae>moratorium unless you're having survivability issues or you're using a suboptimal build. Mirinae gives you an obnoxious amount of added free damage at rank 25., bane of the powerful is simply the strongest gem in the game at the moment for any non pet or non wd class at level 25 due to multiplicative returns. dont think of it as %x you gain for killing elites, think of it as flat % elites x%x black damage you get after killing them. big damage.

Paragon Priorities

Core

Vitality
Primary Stat
Maximum Resource
Movement Speed

Offense

Critical Hit Damage
Critical Hit Chance
Cooldown Reduction
Attack Speed

Defense

Resist All
Life
Armor
Life Regeneration

Utility

Resource Cost Reduction
Life on Hit
Area Damage
Gold Find
Max resource would normally be a priority, but the amount of wrath you get from paragon is laughable and no real help at 50, so max defensive stats vit, pick up move speed only if you feel you really need it as your character sort of snaps to enemies, and primary stat should only be maxed>vit when your paragon points are high enough to warrant the move over.

I have offensive stats moved to my personal grab style, this tree is really a preferential thing and nothing on this tree is nonnegotiable, grab whatever you feel is good for you, chc if your sub 30, if not >chd, cdr if your akkhans, and as if your trying to reach breakpoints for proc rates on gems.

all res all res all res, after that grab life%>armor/regen, for best defensive stats.

next ones tricky, area damage is a joke if your not stacking it, and gold find is kinda useless now unless your goldwrap+ boon, which its still kind of useless since your armor is hitting obnoxious highs anyway. Here I grab life on hit because my builds a bit balls out in terms of damage so I need the survivability stat, and RCR is great if you're having trouble with resource or you prefer to move less. its all up to you here.

Build Guide

I'll fix this up and add a video later with a better explanation of the build, this is my current in game build and it works beautifully for efficiently farming t6, but relies heavily on elite damage, clearing trash at any difficulty is breezy but you need some numbers to really get speed on t6 rg's which procs from fire starter and high burst from bombardment do well to take care of. a link to my current gear using this spec below.

*edit gonna add some cliffnotes until I decide to write whole guide out.

1. Why is justice lantern in this list?
Block, block, and more block. with 2.1 around the corner justice lantern is getting block chance as a 5th passive and having its original 4 passives set back to fully randomized which means no more automatically rolling vit+armor on your most important damage slot, and it will roll as always the reduced crowd control secondary of up to 50%, granting you a good amount of survivability in a slot that would otherwise give you a stackable resist or some extra gold find. Shield bash damage is directly relevant to block amount, but it's important to understand it only factors the shield BASE block amount. Why justice lantern then? Block is still good, on top of all your resistances block is mitigating damage, as well as proccing your roar(punish rune) which in turn also proc's firestarter. the faster enemies die the better you survive, duh. Whether it would be more lucrative to get a soj with fireskills is your own discretion but it's a definite contender for best in slot.

2. I'm already using shield bash and I'm fairly decent at it, nightmare horse seems like a waste.
Don't worry about it, it's for deeps not for mobility(but that's an added bonus)
Procs, procs, and c'mon dude you get it.
Firestarter procs from everything, shieldbash ticks of damage steed ticks of damage, bombardment ticks of damage, punish ticks, roar ticks, this is just free damage stacking on top of damage, its the bread and butter of the build that lets you annihilate(pun intended) elites and rift guardians. each of those ticks from your good ol' horsey serve to apply more ticks, and since you'll be doing fire damage they won't exactly be hitting for nothing either.

3. Will I need a unity?
Good question! no.

4. Best in slot shield?
Fire lid, with 10 crit 20%skills and 8% elites(lol not gonna happen nerd)
In other word's don't use a lidless wall unless its really stinkin good, if you have to debate internally whether or not its really honkin good, then it's garbage for this build.
Use a piro marella for more shield bashes, or if you have enough cdr and a decent cindercoat then use a hellskull for the extra deeps.

5. Strongarm bracers?(not kidding, that was a real question)
Crumble d00ds. Rune proc's from shieldbash knocks back and give you more of that brawndo got what plant's need.

I've just found out I'll most likely not be working the 29th-30th, so I'm about 90% sure I can get the video up by then so be looking for it soon™

I've just found out I'll most likely BE working the 29th-30th so I wont be able to do the video for a while but the gear and build is essentially complete

I just need to find the time to make the video, also some things can use some rerolling here and there and I'm flat out of souls so in the mean time whenever I get a few minutes if I do I'll rift some souls up.

also like to point out if anyone was wondering about the sankis, after a bit of testing one handers are extremely viable for this build, so your sankis and devastators are a go, more or less proving that the build has a really good bit of wiggle room.
