Build Guide
I'll fix this up and add a video later with a better explanation of the build, this is my current in game build and it works beautifully for efficiently farming t6, but relies heavily on elite damage, clearing trash at any difficulty is breezy but you need some numbers to really get speed on t6 rg's which procs from fire starter and high burst from bombardment do well to take care of. a link to my current gear using this spec below.http://www.diabloprogress.com/hero/oldkingcoal-1858/BigCoal/43975800
*edit gonna add some cliffnotes until I decide to write whole guide out.
1. Why is justice lantern in this list?
Block, block, and more block. with 2.1 around the corner justice lantern is getting block chance as a 5th passive and having its original 4 passives set back to fully randomized which means no more automatically rolling vit+armor on your most important damage slot, and it will roll as always the reduced crowd control secondary of up to 50%, granting you a good amount of survivability in a slot that would otherwise give you a stackable resist or some extra gold find. Shield bash damage is directly relevant to block amount, but it's important to understand it only factors the shield BASE block amount. Why justice lantern then? Block is still good, on top of all your resistances block is mitigating damage, as well as proccing your roar(punish rune) which in turn also proc's firestarter. the faster enemies die the better you survive, duh. Whether it would be more lucrative to get a soj with fireskills is your own discretion but it's a definite contender for best in slot.
2. I'm already using shield bash and I'm fairly decent at it, nightmare horse seems like a waste.
Don't worry about it, it's for deeps not for mobility(but that's an added bonus)
Procs, procs, and c'mon dude you get it.
Firestarter procs from everything, shieldbash ticks of damage steed ticks of damage, bombardment ticks of damage, punish ticks, roar ticks, this is just free damage stacking on top of damage, its the bread and butter of the build that lets you annihilate(pun intended) elites and rift guardians. each of those ticks from your good ol' horsey serve to apply more ticks, and since you'll be doing fire damage they won't exactly be hitting for nothing either.
3. Will I need a unity?
Good question! no.
4. Best in slot shield?
Fire lid, with 10 crit 20%skills and 8% elites(lol not gonna happen nerd)
In other word's don't use a lidless wall unless its really stinkin good, if you have to debate internally whether or not its really honkin good, then it's garbage for this build.
Use a piro marella for more shield bashes, or if you have enough cdr and a decent cindercoat then use a hellskull for the extra deeps.
5. Strongarm bracers?(not kidding, that was a real question)
Crumble d00ds. Rune proc's from shieldbash knocks back and give you more of that brawndo got what plant's need.

I've just found out I'll most likely not be working the 29th-30th, so I'm about 90% sure I can get the video up by then so be looking for it soon™

I've just found out I'll most likely BE working the 29th-30th so I wont be able to do the video for a while but the gear and build is essentially complete
http://imgur.com/9nDXVmZ
I just need to find the time to make the video, also some things can use some rerolling here and there and I'm flat out of souls so in the mean time whenever I get a few minutes if I do I'll rift some souls up.
also like to point out if anyone was wondering about the sankis, after a bit of testing one handers are extremely viable for this build, so your sankis and devastators are a go, more or less proving that the build has a really good bit of wiggle room.
I feel like the easiest way to finish a quick variation of this build 2.1 is to get akkhans 5piece, rorg, cindercoat(for cost reduc and fire skills>andys) strongarm bracers, bc gud and everyone has em, and piro marella, bc craftable and huge cost reduc gives shield bash massive uptime spammability. for belt you can go angelhairbraid, hellcat even goldwrap, pick of the litter, I'm doing a throw together so I'll prob use a goldwrap. amulet is standard craftable rare amy, anything you can get there is good. off hand ring, virtually anything that increases damage, its not important or vital to the build so even craftable. and weapon is preferential, leaving a lot of wiggle room in the build. hopefully I can get a video up by this weekend, if work permits, if not I'll throw gear onto a doll toon and link it, then try again this coming week to cobble together a suitable build+explanation video.

also ty for the heads up
I really don't know what to be striving for as I use different gear until I find your suggestions. And quite frankly, I'm i'd like to see how your playstyle is as well. I pretty much just spam everything without much regard for what's going on. Haha.
Here's my profile if you or anyone has any tips until this gets further updated! =D

As for general play style this build is fairly strong at speed clearing trash as you stack a lot of fire skills damage and shield bash is a fairly strong potentially aoe spender. so try to watch and cycle through cooldowns so as not to get caught with only steed up, which can happen fairly often if you go no akkhans route. using akkhans nets you less damage overall but is fairly consistant at letting you spam your abilities super often. however judging by your build you play a bit more like me, big number. I personally like to move using shield bash to point a to b, use critical fairly often since my crit chance is already around 50%, and save akkarats champion and bombardment to nuke rg's and elites, while using nightmare to keep my self from getting crowded under akkarats and put down a huge amount of damage as aoe with firestarter, try to save horse for that and not movement unless you're moving though dead zones or low yield trash(stygian crawlers, spiderlings, boggits, ect.) and always try to have all cd's up for rg. the order you want to blow skills in ablowout(spam) is akkarat>critical>bombardment>steed(try not to cancel steed early) then follow up with an immediate punish and begin shield bashing, only stopping to reset punish. also fairly important is punish, try to always lead off immediatly after bashing a new enemy with an additional punish to reset its timer and give you frequent roars.
hope this helped!
Again, thanks for the information and quick reply, much appreciated! Happy gaming!

Hope this helped!
I was using it while I was farming 6Piece Akkhans and I was using 6 piece Rolands (Managed to get 5piece Rolands within 1 week, been farming Akkhans for a month...). Rolands 4 piece REALLY makes Shield bash damage go to INSANE numbers. I didn't have Piro Marella before I swapped to 6p Akkhans so I'm gonna try it out with Rolands soon enough.

^ THat link hasn't updated my skills to Shield bash yet - but being able to Spam Shield bash *consistently* in AC is just downright amazing.
I'd like to suggest that utilizing both 4 piece sets of Akkhans and Rolands *Really* works wonders (RoRG Necessary for this)*, Resource cost reduction of SB from Akkhans and then the damage increase from Rolands - I've NEVER seen numbers crit so high. I'll have to get a Screenshot of it and post it up at some time.
To clarify I meant life % and vit, unless your referring to stat prio on items then life equates to life %. loh would be good in an iteration of the build that utilizes rolands for attack speed, but not so much for a akkahns or a flat burst/ %skills iteration. I will be doing an update + a gameplay video for season two and I will expand the guide a bit before I move on to writing a build for bowman impact, which I will also link to this thread for those interested. hope this helped and if you have anymore questions just post and I'll get back asap.
