Build Guide
This build will require 5/6 Akkahn+RoRG, Fate of the Fell, 2/3 Captain Crimson. Next you are going to need 55.5% CDR (Explained in Akarat’s Champion) the most effective way involves Captain Crimsons 2/3 10%, 10% from paragon, 12.5% from helm, 8% from both rings, 8% from shield, 8% from shoulders and 8% from gloves for 53.3% CDR. This allows weapon and amulet to run normal stats or replace one of your other 8% requirements. Understand that there will be ~1second of downtime in between Akarat's Champions casts, however, the extra affix on the weapon is worth 10% dmg and the extra affix on the amulet is worth even more than that. There is some wiggle room, but you certainly don't want to be below 50% CDR.Akarat's Champion-Prophet
The 6 piece Akkahn makes this spell have a 45 second cool-down or 20 seconds up 25 seconds down. 55.5% CDR across gear reduces that 45 seconds to 20 seconds and makes it permanent.
At 53.3% CDR Akarat’s Champion has a 21.015s cooldown. This means it will be down for 1.015 seconds between casts. The 150% bonus armor frees up the rest of your skills to go all out glass cannon. The 35% bonus damage, bonus wrath generation, and the near immortality of the reset to 100% on death are pretty powerful perks.
Laws of Valor-Unstoppable Force
With the CDR on your items this will come up a lot. During the uptime, wrath will recover quickly, as well as buffing your team.
Judgement-Resolved
This is a special group amp. 20% crit chance bonus translates to ~10% CC on gear, for everybody in the group. This means roughly a 25% boost in damage during it's up-time for the entire group, which acts manipulatively with other amps because it operates on your crit chance.
Provoke-Hit Me
Because you are so beefy with Akarats Champion-Prophet, you can serve to hold enemies in place while not taking any damage. This is also a regular source of wrath which is needed to maintain Heavens Fury spam. Any rune will suffice.
Heavens Fury-Fires of Heaven (40 Wrath)
Primary damage ability, capable of hitting a single target with all 3 beams for massive damage.
Steed Charge-Endurance
Your mobility spell. Positioning is tough with this build because you need to be right up in your enemies face. This is the most reliable means of moving around, catching up, or moving ahead.
For passives:
Holy Cause: Awesome 10% damage boost and reliable heals
Finery: Another 10% damage boost
Heavenly Strength: A crusader with a 1-h is blasphemy
Wrathful: 825 +1% of health globes life on resource spent. This means at worst 12375 life per Heavens Fury. With max health globes secondary for shoulder/chest/ammy/ringx2/shield/boots 29713 max x7 = 207991 max. 1% of max health globes is ~2078. So wrathful heals for 825+2078=2903 life on resource spent or 43545 life per shield bash used (15 wrath per cast)
or
Long Arm of the Law: Using the law which reduces resource costs 50%. If you are running low on wrath, using this passive will give you limitless wrath. Roughly 10 seconds uptime to 4 seconds downtime with 53%CDR.
Stat priority is CHD>CDR>Holy%>CC>Str
This causes a lower paper damage due to the lower CC, but much faster clears because Akarats Champion has 100% uptime.
Needed is the 6 piece Akkahns set this allows the Akarat's Champion to run 100% uptime and to never run out of wrath spamming Heavens Fury for 50% off.
The gems would be Gorgok of Swiftness and Mirinae. A third gem would be Bane of the Trapped. I would go with 3 gems if at all possible, but Bane of the Trapped is optional if gear doesn't allow for it.
