done this on GR68 just like walk in a park, but instead of convention i use RoRg for the primus, 200% is good dps but it only appears every 15sec?
Sacrificing CoE for Primus is definitly not worth it. CoE averages out to a 50% dps increse overall, and when it procs arcane everything just melts (and when it's on fire explosive blast does quite a bit of dmg aswell).
I have GR80 down with this setup and my gear and gems aren't super good
ok. thanks for the info man. gonna try it.
According to Quinn in the video that was posted he said that this build was suited for solo GR progression and not for groups and speed farming. Speed farming I understand but why not in groups? with teammates collecting and grouping up the mobs while you stand in the center with a buffs like a Monk's Sanctuary-forbidden palace this build will do insane amounts of damage while also being the tankiest builds wizards have in their arsenal. Is it a matter of still not being tanky enough to be in melee in a group setting or more of a "ET build does more damage" kind of thing?
Primus instead of Aquiles Cuirass is not a good option?
And Oculus instead of CoE?
I've tried Oculus, I didn't like it, CoE is more reliable imo. I stuck it on my templar instead.
In both cases, use the better one and cube the other, simple as that.
In general you want to gather mobs and stack arcane dynamo to 5 then plop arcane orbit
However , if you have already massive density, it doenst hurt to spam arcane orb 2-3 times after you plopped it with arcane dynamo.
Granted the buff is then only active for the first explosion . However you have insane burst because the first orb always explodes with activating the spell if a mob is near.
However i dont yet know whichs playstyle is better on higher rifts. I guess not spamming arcane orb is better because of aquilas. but that is really situational.
Burst is definietly better when spamming arcane orbit
Why cube the offhand when you can use the thing that makes explosive blast hit 4 times? That is surely way better than a non guaranteed uptime 20% damage.
Thanks for the great build man! Right after I started using it (even with basic legendary versions of each piece of gear), I was critting for 10-15bil and was able to plow through gr65 without dying even once lol. After seeing how tanky I was, it got me to thinking so I started toggling a few things around..
I wanted to check your thoughts on these slight changes my broseph. Instead of using explosive blast for the dmg reduction and inc dmg buff% (while also taking a cube slot), what if you put on the Magic Weapon (Force Weapon rune) giving you 20% increased dmg right off the bat, and tossed in something like Furnace?
I love the crits from CoE, but I hate the time gap in between the element changes (cuz sometimes you miss out completely on a large mob due to the timer and lack of density). I tossed on the Slow time helmet that gives it all runes, and tossed in RoRg into cube buff. Because the whole map basically becomes a bubble, I feel like it has more impact.
I also had one last idea but didnt get a chance to try it last night because I found the amulet right before logging off. The Arcane Ward amulet or whatever its called, the one that you 25% increased arcane dmg/ 10% cc along with primary stat and a socket. I wanted to try this out, and place the Ice Armor ring in cube and use focus/restraint (id put back the Delsere helm so 6pc set buff is active of course.
Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for sharing this with the community, +1'd my good sir!
1. That combo does indeed do more dmg, and thats nice and all BUT the explosive blast combo gives you +60%dr (at 4 stacks) and you really need that for higher solo grs.
2. As stated before, CoE is such a big dps increse and Primus isn't that good in comparison.
3. That amulet is indeed pretty nice, but keep in mind the Endless Walk set bonus, 100% incresed dmg when standing still (and you do that quite a lot in this build) is pretty damn nice. I used that amulet b4 I could complete the Endless Walk set, and when I made the switch the dps increse was really noticable
1. Every time you get 5 stacks of arcane dynamo is a good starting point for practice.
2. The elemental type on weapon dmg doesn't matter for pretty much anything other than fancy graphics on the armory.
-While this is your only Item Set bonus every Ancient item you have equipped increases your damage dealt by 100% and reduces your damage taken by 4%.
For those rings to work you can't have ANY other set bonuses equipped. If the rings worked like you think they do they would be insanely op and used in every build.
For rolls... well you are missing out on quite a bit of dmg. Like crit dmg on gloves and halo, crit on head, neck, bracers and ring, area dmg on shoulders. You also pretty much ruined your chest and belt, those %skill dmg give you nothing at all and you would much rather have rerolled them to vitality.
Other than that, practice practice practice and farm better gear, maby watch some streams/videos and see how other people play it.

If i have wand of Woh do I want to use that or the unstable specter
I noticed this and other builds this season don't recommend the resist all stats, is there a reason for this? Did something change with Armor and Vitality that these are pointless stats now? Or is there something with this set build that makes resist all a non-issue?
The answer for this build is quite simple: This is basically a melee based build, you will always be at melee attacking the mobs with [spectral blade] and the proc of [explosive blast]+[arcane orb], so you'll need as much armor as possible, also some melee dmg reduction would be great as well... Regards.

That's not correct, armor reduces exactely the same dmg as allres does.
You want armor because intelligence gives you allres, meaning you will have a ton of allres and not a lot of armor.
And since armor/allres diminishes when you have a lot of it you get more survivability out of armor than from allres.
Ice Armor - Crystallize also gives you a 60% boost to armor, giving it even more value.
You want APDs because of Halo of Arlyse, "...automatically casts Frost Nova whenever you take 10% of your Life in damage" the 10% dmg is prior to mitigation so it procs pretty much every time you take dmg. And since freze=stun you get a ton of dmg reduction from this combo.
Reaper Wraps is pretty useless for this build anyways, you only want to cast Arcane Orb when you have 5 stacks of Arcane Dynamo, and as long as you have the belt you will get back that arcane power in no time.
As for the weapon, keep on farming, sooner or later it will drop. If you want to get it faster you can farm some mats and upgrade yellow wands via the cube, you should get it pretty fast that way.
As you said, you want as much AD as you can get. And that is on all pieces you can get it on, except the amulet where you want arcane dmg instead, which will result in 174% AD with max rolls.
I'm rocking 154% atm and I'm missing it on my Compass Rose.
This build excels at clearing large group of mobs, and at 6+ targets AD outscales the alternatives (arcane orb dmg, elite dmg etc) by quite a bit.
