Build Guide
Silly toughness, tons of damage, effortless perma-WotB, all the Fury you could ask for.
Ring of Royal Grandeur should have a socket, strength, critical hit chance, and attack speed. Convention of Elements should have a socket, strength, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage. Good choices for an amulet include Hellfire (your fifth passive should be Superstition), any elemental immunity amulet, or The Flavor of Time to make up for missing CDR, but ultimately you should use your best DPS amulet.
Assuming 10% increased attack speed from Paragon and 25% from WotB, you need another 17% to hit the 11 and 17 frame breakpoints on Whirlwind and Dust Devils, respectively. That's two perfect 7% rolls and the 3% buff from Focused Mind courtesy of Eirena the Enchantress. Get one roll on the Ring of Royal Grandeur, and the other on Lacuni Prowlers or Steady Strikers.
At that Whirlwind breakpoint you're spending 18.18 Fury per second, which translates to permanent uptime on WotB with a comfortable 16 second-cooldown (assuming 8% cooldown reduction on your shoulders, 12.5% from a Flawless Royal Diamond in your helm, and 10% from Paragon).
Ancients' Fury (via the cubed Fury of the Ancients) generates about 20 Fury per second, so you're always topped off and and taking full advantage of Berserker's Rage.
Give Eirena a Unity ring and the Smoking Thurible immortality relic (easily obtained by crafting rare Enchantress relics and upgrading them to Legendaries with Kanai's Cube).

Max out movement speed and dump the rest of your Core points into Strength.
Attack speed and cooldown reduction need to be maxed out. Forget balancing critical hit chance and critical hit damage, just fill up CHC first to maximize healing from Blood Funnel.
Don't put any points into resource cost reduction (you'll always have full Fury anyway, and Wrath of the Berserker cools down faster the faster you spend Fury).
Silly toughness, tons of damage, effortless perma-WotB, all the Fury you could ask for.
Thanks, i was having trouble doing gr45 as soon as i put this build together even without the furnace and boulder breaker i was able to do gr48
Nice build, i will try this later, but im gonna do some adjustments since i play HC
No need to change, alot and i meant lot of survivability with this build, just make gr 52 and i can get higher
I use Gogok instead of Taeguk when playing in a group, with a Hellfire ring and RRoG cubed.
Thanks for the build!
Love, love, LOVE this build, thank you!
I had been playing around with this set up for weeks, following other guides that just weren't getting it done for me. I kept swapping gems and rings, and things in the cube. This one finally has me happy.
Question (if you're still following this thread): is there any reason you would choose the IK helmet and Wastes boots over the Wastes helmet and IK boots? I have them flip-flopped, but only because the stats are better on the ones I'm using.
For the person who asked about Greater Rifts, I just solo'd a 55 in 12 minutes using almost an identical set-up as the OP. The only piece I'm currently missing is either of the recommended bracers. Oh and my Hellfire Ammy doesn't have Superstition.
Thanks again and Go Barbs (RUN, RUN AWAY...TIME TO DIE)!!!!!

Seems like a nice build!
Any information on highest lvl someone has cleared with this build?
As I just posted below, 55 last night on 1st try...but had time to spare so will try higher later.
That's totally fine. You just need the WW shoulders, IK belt, Boulder Breaker, and then any combination of four WW pieces and one IK piece.
whirlwind i cant live without it
thank for this great guide
upvote
but
why this build cant work in 2.4 patch
You know , I thought that the only viable whirlwind build was the zdps one which i personally find quite boring.
I tried full Wastes set with Bul-Khatos swords wich was ok but yet, not quite enough.
Your build on the other hand helped me go from 50ish to 60 with 700 paragons points .
I swapped out Bane or the trap for Pain Enhancer but besides that I followed pretty much everything
Thanks for sharing!
What do you think about using Bulkathos swords set + Mantle of Channeling + Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan?
