plague of toads can be used instead of mass confusion.
1) recommended may be switched out depending on who's doing what in your party.
2) adequates are for trials.
3) extra stats on piece of gear should be DEX or STR for more armor. when it's not possible (Amulet): VIT>DEX/STR.

there's room to debate here, but in general Cooldown or Crit Chance goes first here.
