The Carnevil build makes use of the Ring of Royal Grandeur to be able to get the bonuses from 3 separate sets. The older Carnevil builds used to run TnT and Swamp Land Waders, but due to the addition of ancient items and the attack speed bonus from the Cain's set, I believe that this set now trumps them. For whatever reason the Diablofans Weapon database didn't have Dagger of Darts, but that is what you will want to be using for this build. You can switch alot of gear around, but altogether I feel like having these 3 sets will provide you with the highest damage output, especially since Cain's and Aughild's can be crafting until you roll a perfect Ancient. As far as legendary gems go, in patch 2.1.2 the damage of your fetishes darts was changed to benefit from Simplicity's Strength, so I believe that makes it the most powerful. After that it's a tossup between Gogok and Enforcer. The A/S and CDR from Gogok is good for summing Sycophants quickly and pushing out heavy barrages of darts, while the Enforcer just provides some pure damage. In the end I'd use Gogok but push heavily for a third socket. I couldn't add +% dmg for skills the recommended stats, so here it is. +% Fetish Army Dmg. on Shoulders and Chest, +% Poison Dart Dmg. on Legs, Offhand, and to replace Elite Dmg on Hellcat's Waistguard.

Paragon Priorities

Core

Movement Speed
Primary Stat
Vitality
Maximum Resource

Offense

Attack Speed
Critical Hit Damage
Critical Hit Chance
Cooldown Reduction

Defense

Armor
Life
Resist All
Life Regeneration

Utility

Area Damage
Life on Hit
Resource Cost Reduction
Gold Find

These are pretty basic paragon point priorities. You want to make sure you have 25% movement, since you'll notice quite a difference in speed. Prioritizing the attack speed here is a no brainer, the faster you attack, the faster your fetishes attack. I feel that Crit Hit Damage is a good thing to prioritize next assuming you have good Crit Chance rolls on your gear already, if not feel free to go that route. Witch doctors, aswell as all other Intellect user, get Resist All from Intellect, thus making Armor then Life an easy choice here. The last category is a bit tricky, if you are already quite tanky, then obviously go the Area Dmg to really burn big groups of monsters. If you feel life your toughness is slacking then simply go for the life on hit, both of these stats are great options.

Build Guide

Carnevil

The great thing about witch doctor is that they have many viable specs, Carnevil just being one of them. It provides a very different playstyle then the others, and I highly recommend you try it if you get blessed enough to get the gear. In terms of being viable Carnevil can probably cap off around Greater Rift 45 if you have good rolls on the right pieces, maybe higher if you get good rift density and pylons. There is many different ways you can switch this build up, this guide is a high risk/high dmg one that relys on you having a good amount of toughness from your gear to stay alive, due to the fact that the only real defensive you have is Spirit Walk. If you want to be a bit tankier I'd recommend replacing Haunt with Zombies Dogs Life Link, Zombie Dogs Leeching Beast, or Haunt Frightening Aspect. As simple as this build seems at first, you will start noticing that keeping your Fetishes alive and in a good position can be a bit of a struggle, since they cant shoot through walls. If you can keep that under control in greater rifts all you have to do is make sure haunt is applied to your targets, group them up with Piranhas, then unless a rain of darts. If you run into Stonesinger at the end of a Greater Rift, all I can say is go to your happy place, because it will be a long, painful experience. To sum up, I'd say that while it may have its road bumps, Carnevil is a very strong build, very interesting build that can push pretty high up on the ladders with a bit of luck and skill. I hope this guide was informative and I wish you the best of luck with your adventures.
