Cyclone

While your vortex is at 3 or more stacks, Critical Hits have a chance to spawn a lightning tornado that periodically electrocutes nearby enemies for 95% weapon damage as Lightning. Each spawned lightning tornado lasts 3 seconds.

First thing first, this build does rely on +Lightning damage and gear-dependent. Recommended for those who have high CC, CD, APS and proper gears.

Got Reiment and Monkey gears? Well give this a spin. This build is great for clearing trash mob, and if you are lucky and positioned right, elites as well.

How to play this build: Cast cyclone strike, pull enemies, cast few EPs, generate spirit with primary attack and watch them blow up. It's almost like the classic EP build where it spreads everywhere. Rinse and repeat.

Build Guide

The concept is utilizing the new monkey set damage bonus with certain skills this build uses to maximize damage. Also until the new Reiment affixes is being put in PTR, the current affixes will do. Especially if you have lots of lightning gears.

Problem with this build is do to maximum amount of damage you need a lot of enemies due to it's collateral damage. Also this build is awful, and I MEAN AWFUL when it comes to single or few targets. So positioning yourself is important when fighting elites or bosses. If you prime the "bombs" correctly and set them off with the single target within collateral damage area.

I haven't tried this in a group game, which I'd assume it's great for clearing out trash and watch corpses fly.

Alternatives to gears and skills

You could swap few gears out and alter the build. However the bottom line is the Monkey's set damage bonus PLUS the benefit of lightning damage bonus from gears, even sets can be swapped out. Share your findings if you can
