Build Guide

You can either go 5pc Mara+RoRG+TnT/Hex Pant+Unity or 6pc Mara+Unity+SoJ. Unity is pretty much a must for high level Greater Rifts.



Recommended Rolls on Your Armor:

Helmet: Dex/CC/CA Dmg/Socket

Shoulders: Dex/Vit//Cooldown Reduction/Sentry Dmg

Amulet: Physical Dmg/CC/ChD/Socket

Torso: Dex/Vit/Sentry Dmg/3 Sockets

Wrists: Phyiscal Dmg/Dex/Vit/CC

Hands: Dex/CC/ChD/Cooldown Reduction

Waist: Depends on what you are using.
Witching Hour focus on offensive and String of Ears focus on defense.
Legs: Dex/Vit/AR/2 Sockets

Feet: Dex/Vit/AR/CA dmg

Rings:Unity - Dex/CC or Chd or Atk Spd/Elemental Dmg/Elite Dmg/Socket |
Stone of Jordan- Elemental Dmg/Dex or Chd/Elite Dmg/Socket | RoRG - Dex/Atk Spd/Chd/Socket
Weapon: High Dmg/ Dex/ % Dmg/Atk Spd(Chd if Manticore) or Cooldown Reduction/ Socket
Buriza-Do is a good choice because Impale will pierce.
Offhand: Dex/Vit/Atk Spd/CC/ Sentry Dmg


*Tip on Secondary Affix: You don't want any +Gold Find in your affix because normal mobs won't drop golds in GRifts. Elemental Resistant and Life on kills are more valuable.




PASSIVES

There are many combination of Passive Skills you can use. It depends on your playstyle and gears. However, Awareness and Cull the Weak are the two you should always take. I picked Custom Engineering because of the insane HP the mobs have in high GRifts. Numbing Trap is for the lack of toughness DH has. A death will cause you time to put up the sentries again. You can pick a more aggressive offense passive if you are confidence on your skill. You can also craft a hellfire amulet for your 5th passive. If I have to pick a 5th passive, I would take Ballistic to increase the Shooting Star's rocket damage.





LEGENDARY GEM


Bane of the Trapped





  • Increase damage against enemies under control-impairing effects by 20%.
  • Upgrade rank grants: +0.5% damage.
  • Rank 50 unlocks: Gain an aura that reduces the movement speed of enemies within 15 yards by 30%.
- Work well with Polar Station.


Enforcer





  • Increases the damage of your pets by 25%
  • Secondary Power: Your pets take 30% reduced damage
- A must for pets/sentries build.

The third gem is debatable. Not many good gems that really fit the sentry build playstyle. For the time being, I would not socket my amulet until I level up my two legendary gems.




BUILD VARIATION

Change Impale rune to Impact and use Strongarm Bracers
