SEASON 2:
In my opinion/experience this build is currently one of the strongest possible monk setups for competitive greater rift laddering.

Bane of the trappedTaeguk

Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard - Need to test (If you need healing)Esoteric Alteration - Need to test (If you need reduction)
Basic game-play strategy:
- Maintain Sweeping wind- Spread exploding palm
- Vulture Claw Kick to pop exploding palm
- Maintain your spirit with mystic ally on use and Epiphany
- Dash for mobility
Skill variations:
Dashing strike - Quicksilver (T6 Farming)Mantra of Conviction - Annihilation (T6 Farming ~ swap out EP)

you want dex/secondary resist on all your pieces(where possible) & health globe bonus ownz for Mantra of healing/transcendence.
People WITHOUT furnace:
Just use any weapon with the highest DPS/Healing or Run a torch build.FAQ:
Q: Why don't we use Gyana na Kashu?A: Cindercoat makes your LTK hit much harder and more efficiently than GNK.
Q: Does the LTK Dot portion stack?
A: Yes, it stacks perfectly fine ~ but does it not crit, it scales with AVG CRIT (CHD/CHC)
Q: Why am i getting instantly killed g33+?
A: You need Unity equipped, and Unity on your active follower(with a "follower cannot die" relic)
Also! 1000+ All resistance | 16,000+ Armour | 350,000+ Health - Is a good amount to be around.
Q: Does the sunwuko 2 set scale with elemental damage?
A: Yes, the 1000% weapon damage proc grabs your highest elemental damage % then modifies the proc accordingly (all item damage cannot proc area damage)
Q: What gem should i put in my helmet socket?
A: Diamond. CDR = Dmg + Survivability!
Q: What normal gems should i put in my chest/pants?
A: Diamonds until your all resistance is over 1200, Then the rest emeralds(dex gems).
Q: What follower should i use?
A: Templar. Why? Inspire (x1.1 ALL spirit generation)

Can we get a video about someone clearing greater rift over 42 with this type of build?
Im struggling to stay alive on any rifts above 40 with this build and molten wildebeest being the third legendary gem.
Getting one shotted sometimes even when epiphany is up is pain.
What about party gameplay on GR55+? Your build based on fixed spirit regen. BBV (20AS) + LoV (23AS) = big problem.
Maybe Pride's Fall + Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan can solve this? And switch Taeguk -> Esoteric Alteration for more survive. Also you have free belt slot for WH or SoE.
Second idea about don't use RoRG in single game. 4 piece Sunwuko + Hexing Pants + SoJ.
I've tried this build out now, in non-season mode with Reapers Wraps (and non-ancient Furnace), and it's just not viable past the low-mid 40's. You need that new gem. I have not tested this however subbing in the agility mantra but plan to try tonight.
Theres quite nice build ready if you look up the builds for monks which is aimed towards non geared ones.

If you watch the video, he states that this build is superior to the WoL build, even now. I'm geared pretty well in all ancient pieces except for my belt and weapon. I'm just interested in pursuing this for fun now while we wait for season 2 to start to see how far it can take us.
My comment was aimed towards drildgen who were looking for leveling build
I tested this build againg today and went upto grift 44.
at first i were skeptical how to stay alive but i finally got my molten wildebeest to 46 and it really made a difference about how to survive.
The furnace is better than dualwielding. Bigger crits, bigger ep booms, bigger ltk kicks. Spirit aint problem with cindercoat at all.
Im not on full ancient gear yet and upto grift 44 havent had any problems with air allys and epiphany.
It affects obviously to your as but its not that big of an issue
if you have furnace and 2 good one handers give it a try which ones works better.
I like my 3780 dmg furnace with +49% elite dmg bit more than dualwielding
Which of your two builds is generally better for a majority of gameplay? Like may not be best for everything, but is best for a larger majority of things
Going this in S2.
The spender (LTK) scales off fire%
Hello, Quin. First time posting. Just starting playing Diablo again this season. Thank you for this guide/build. It's helping me out a lot.
I have a question regarding the three pieces of Inna's and Sunwuko's. Is it okay to mix and match these six slots with three pieces of each? For instance, is there something special about having Inna's Radiance over Sunwuko's Crown? I got a Sunwuko's Crown today, and I'd like to hope I could use it and replace one of the other Sunwuko pieces with an Inna piece, since I got a good roll on it.
I apologize if this is a basic or commonly asked question, but I would be thankful if anyone could answer.
Stacking cold damage for flurry burst and charge + EP explosion. I've been using this build and it's awesome. SSS(Pandemonium)
+ EP(ID) with madstone and raise ur charge upto 30+ should do 1B damage occasionally.
The other variation is to use IS + BF ( Faint In Light) you have extra 29% damage for 3 seconds. With this buff on, use ur IS (Forbidden Palace). This can help in crowd control and buff. Using BF, it won't cause you to stop your charge. BF(29%) + IS(30%) should more than enuf to one hit KO GR 36 normal mob.
Note: There is posibility that flurry burst is not critical. You may waste ur charges and time sometimes. But most of the time with high CC and vs group of mobs, posibilities is high.
I really dislike Taeguk. Is there an alternative?
Hey, recently started using this build,
Noticed that with more than 6.6% spirit cost reduction & with innas set that sweeping wind doesn't maintain or stack Taeguk, wouldn't that imply that spending paragon points into resource reduction above 6.6% hurts the synergy of sweeping wind, Taeguk & Innas and would be better spent on life per hit or even gold find.
I guess because I forgot that you could do this. Thanks for reminding me.
