1. T6 is fine but for Solo, otherwise you should play jade to be the most efficient possible. i use this build for Bounties T6 mainly!
2. T&T don't affect pets when spitting darts
3. Build can't work without DoD!
3. SMK is a great alternative; but DoD with mobs clumped together destroys everything out of the water. If you lack neither- any fast weapon (1.4 speed, or 1.5 speed) will do as you gear up.
4. The primary skill legs (Depth Diggers) do not work with Witch Doctors and Wizards. The poison pants (Swamp-whatever) are a decent alternative; but are still not as good as Cains. I personally use the Swamp pants; but only because I couldn't get a decently crafted Cains gloves.
I really like this build.....the issue, 220 hours on my WD and only a single, and weak, DoD.....either way, this is on my "must get" list and I will place you in the same on high seat that I consider Quin69 to sit in....Thanks!!!

Basically you enter your character sheet data, weapon info, int, cc, cd, elemental, elite damage and you can modify those values in a secondary column and it tells you percentage dps change.
Should work just fine for any build/class, but it was working on a carnevil WD that inspired me to make it. Hope people find it helpful.
I think you may don't roll it on weapon if you already can reach 2APS (gogok included)
if you consider Snake to the face has 0.5 proc coefficient then 2APS are enough to have 2 chances to proc FS (60/2=30 frames)
Total dps output is kinda the same

Using a magefist and poison pants are strictly better than using cains 2 piece.
Swamp Land Waders have the 20% element (worth equivalent of 20% CC) Magefist with CC/CHD/CDR/AtkSpeed/Core (These are rare because you need them to roll everything so you can enchant the fire damage off)
Alternatively the 10 minute shrine gloves are also a viable alternative. The Swamp Land (poison pants) are by a huge margin the superior choice.
You lose nothing gain 20% element damage with a perfect Magefist. No contest. Honestly though even without the Magefist... 20% element damage vs. 8% atk speed... How is this even up for debate.

What causes the mops to turn into chickens? Because I dont see Hex anywhere.

What about using depth diggers instead of cain's pants ? Would it boost daggers from the fetishes as well ? Wouldn't it be a good move instead of the 7% ias from cain's ?
This build really only needs 2 main items "helm" and "wep" other than that you can mess around with what ever you want to try to get the max dps you like.
As for the DOD i have had the blessing of having 3 drop in one night but they happened in random places and didnt always drop from bosses

what are your thought on using http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/homunculus, have you tried it? I tried it, does pretty good, just wondering what's your opinion on it, I've moved around the zuni set for full bonus, so far seem good to me.
