Ryuujin's Thousand Storms Lightning Build
::OVERVIEW::
::STATS TO FOCUS ON::
% Lightning Dmg, Crit Hit, Crit Dmg, and CDR::ACTIVE SKILLS::
Dashing Strike: Quicksilver - YOUR PRIMARY DAMAGING SKILL
Blinding Flash: Faith in the Light - This skill is for extra burst DPS as well as a good crowd controlling ability. Especially for those annoying packs that seems to tail you all the time.
Mystic Ally: Fire Ally - Not only is it a pet, it has decent damage and it gives a 10% damage boost. This pet is great because it has an active skill that you can just use whenever the cooldown is ready. It is also there mainly to help tank monsters and keep them distracted at a distance, so you can dash to refund your charges. Only downside is it does not synergize with lightning.
Seven-Sided Strike: Sudden Assault - 8285% lightning damage, need I say more? This skill will be one of your single target skills used to take down lone elites and Rift Guardian. It also act as an emergency escape / survival skill when you get unlucky.
Mantra of Conviction: Overawe - Typical mantra for dps boost and spirit dump.
::PASSIVES::
Momentum - This is an amazing passive, it is basically a permanent 20% damage buff because you are dashing almost 100% of the time.Beacon of Ytar - CDR of course. A must especially because Dashing Strike charge timers gets reduced now on patch 2.1
Rsolves - I find this passive great. 20% damage reduction on monsters at higher level Greater Rift is pretty huge.
Sixth Sense - Another survivability passive. 25% on non-physical is very nice. This helps with all the poison, fire, stupid succubus floating orbs, lightning etc. Majority of the damage you take is elemental damage, so this passive is a great new addition.
::ITEMS / GEMS::
Six Piece Raiment of a Thousand Storms is required for this build. You can go RRoG ring and 5 pc with a different helm, but I prefer a SoJ because the damage from it is just amazing.Jawbreaker is required as well. This is the reason this build works. Some can argue that with enough CDR you won't need it, but with the recent nerf to charge timer, I would say it is a must.
My offhand is Odyn Son, the mace is very nice with high top end damage with % lightning dmg stat. The Proc is very nice as it benefits from lightning dmg + it can hit a single target 4x with its chain lightning.
Strongarm Bracers for extra dps boost with knock-up from Deadly Reach. you can also use Reaper's Wraps for infinite spirit (not like you realy need it)
Unity is really a must for Solo Greater Rifts.
Thundergod's Vigor for % lightning damage and double resist stats. You can also use Witching Hour but I find thundergod's better for survivability
Amulets doesn't really matter just use one with good % lightning dmg, Crit hit, Crit dmg, Dex
Legendary Gems I used is Wreath of Lightning. This is just an amazing gem what can I say?
Diamond in my helm for CDR and Emeralds in everything else.
