  • A C++ Runtime error is usually a Windows operating system error. We recommend making sure you have all of the most recent Windows updates, including the most recent .NET Framework update and proper Visual C++ installation for your operating system.

Please visit the Microsoft Download Center (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/) to find the correct updates for your system. If you require additional assistance with these updates, please contact Microsoft Support (http://support.microsoft.com/).

Are you actually running under Win 2000 or are you using a compatibility mode in another OS?

Win2k isn't a supported OS and I'm not sure why it'd let you install if that's what you are using.

  • Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

    Click on Start
    Click on Run
    Type in: dxdiag
    Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it all here.

  • Ok, I'm not sure what more I can do to help.

If you Google "R6025 - Pure virtual function call" you'll see quite a few articles on this problem going back several years. Many will link a "repair" program but I'd be very careful with those as it's not uncommon for them to actually be malware of some sort.

It looks like the best approach besides reinstalling Windows is to do a System Restore to a point shortly before you began having problems.

Running the trial version of Malwarebytes may help but if your registry is already corrupted, it's not going to fix that.
