Error Code:BLZPTS0000B

  • I had originally installed the game with no issue, but then something happened with my system and I had to run System Restore. All my other programs seem to be working just fine, however if i try and run setup for D3 I keep receiving this code. I have disabled all my firewalls, I have made sure I am running the program as admin, and I have searched the forums for an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  • Dolemyte, this may have something to do with permissions in Windows. Try booting up into Safe Mode with Networking first, and then run the Setup / Installer.

  • Dolemyte,

Was your system restored back to a point before you had ever installed the Diablo III Beta? If not, there may be some game-related info you need to remove before installing again.

Also, please open up Internet Explorer, even if it's not your main browser, click on "Tools" then "Internet Options". Now go to the "Connections" tab and click on the button that says "LAN settings". Make sure that "Automatically detect settings" is checked, and that you are not using a proxy server and then click "OK." Try running the installer again and see if that solves the issue.

  • Dolemyte ,

It may be due to a permissions issue still. Try deleting the game folder that's there now along with %ProgramData%\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache\cache.db

Modify the permissions on the %ProgramData%\Blizzard Entertainment folder to make it writable by all users.

Don't use the Run as an Administrator option again for anything D3 related.

    Try the install again now.

  • Dolemyte ,

Program Data is a hidden folder. It'll be on your C drive in the root folder assuming you boot from C:

You may need to set Window's options to allow you to see hidden files and folders if you aren't already seeing them.

To do so, click your Windows/Start button, select 'Control Panel' from the menu, then 'Folder Options'. Next click the 'View' tab, scroll down the list and look for the option 'Hidden files and folders', make sure this is set to Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
