Game client fails to initialise D3D

  • Whenever I start diablo3 now since 3 weeks ago it just says failed to initialis D3D.
This was ok 3 weeks ago.
Now I'm home on my own PC this is happening loading the x64 game
I've uninstalled the battlenet app and reinstalled.. repaired the game files.
500M downloaded after that.. though still having the same trouble.
  • Hello PhireMan,

I have seen this unable to Initialize D3D before and I have a few things I like you to do. If you are running an Nvidia Graphic Card. Check Nvidia Control panel and make sure the refresh rate is 60Hz. The option is found in the menu Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties > Monitor

Disable Xbox DVR if running Windows 10

    Update Graphic Card Drivers

Would you be able to provide a DxDiag?

    1) Press Windows Key + R.
    2) Type DxDiag and press Enter.
    3) In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4)Name the file "dxdiag" and click Save
    5) Paste the DXdiag into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the "code" button (</>). That'll make the information much more readable.
