Game Freezing and Crashing

  • I've had this issue since the announcement of the maintenance of 07/25/2017. I've been getting error code 9995EECE-E8B7-49C9-BFD6-FBD734F8DC68. Has anyone else had this issue with the update.
  • @Raven664:
    Can you try doing a selective startup and running a scan and repair. If you're still running into crashes, reply here with your DxDiag in a Code Block*.

    @Chunder:
    Since this started after the Windows update, please make sure that your video drivers are up to date and disable the XBox Game DVR service.

  • Hey Chunder!

    Have you overclocked your video card and/or cpu? If so, can you restore everything to factory default clock speeds and test? Also, if you have Precision X running, try shutting that down before testing. Then if you're still crashing, please reply here with your DxDiag in a code block*.
  • @Vengie:
    The error you are getting is a system error and not a game error. If the signal is being lost it could be related to the video card or another system conflict causing the signal to be lost. If you have another monitor you can try a dvi to dvi connection with, that would help figure out if its the hdmi adapter causing trouble or something else.

    Also, as a heads up, that GeForce 9800 video card is rated just below minimum requirements. If you'd like to put your DxDiag in a code block* to see if anything else stands out, i'd be happy to take a look.

    Finally, we do our best to respond to as many threads as possible. If you're not getting a response on a thread that someone else started for a specific issue, then you might try posting a new thread (making sure to attach pertinent details). Likewise, this goes for anyone in need of help, you always have the option to submit a ticket with customer support if you need more in depth and direct troubleshooting for a technical issue.

  • @ Chunder:

    The thing that stands out in the DxDiag is that your system DPI settings were changed to be higher. For the sake of troubleshooting, please set your system's DPI settings to default as well as adjust the sytem's power settings.
  • Hey y'all!

    We're trying to gather some information on these crashes and freezing. Can you post updated DxDiags and a Pathpings, please?

    Please put the Diag and Pathping in separate code blocks. To put your diagnostics in a code block, copy/paste the entire file into your next post, highlight all of it within the post box, then click the </> button.
  • Lets also get some error logs from y'all! Again, put those in a separate code block. :)
