Beta Installation and Play Instructions

  • To install and play the Reaper of Souls Closed Beta, please follow the instructions below:

Step 1: If you were invited to the Closed Beta via opt-in, verify that your account has been correctly granted a Closed Beta license in Battle.net Account Management. If you were sent a Closed Beta key, you will need to add it manually by visiting the Add or Upgrade a Game page.

Step 2: Download and install the Battle.net desktop application.

Step 3: Once you have confirmed that your account , installed the Battle.net desktop, and logged in with your Battle.net credentials, select "Diablo III" from the menu on the left-hand side of the application.

Step 4: On the Diablo III screen, there is a drop-down menu right above the "Play" button (note that this may say "Install" if you do not have Diablo III currently installed). Select "Beta: Reaper of Souls" from this drop-down menu before proceeding.

Step 5: You should now have the option to install and play the Closed Beta.

Please note that the 2.0.1 PTR and Reaper of Souls Closed Beta are running on the same client and, as a result, participants will be able to interact and even play with one another.

    • If you have a Reaper of Souls Closed Beta license attached, you will have access to all patch 2.0.1 content as well as expansion-only content including (but not limited to) Act V, the Crusader, and Adventure Mode.

If you previously had access to the Friends and Family Beta, you will be granted access to the Closed Beta automatically.
