#1 - 2013/04/16 02:53:00 AMHey all,
So I was wondering, why can I see some of my friends on StarCraft 2 but not on Diablo 3? I see my friend is online on SC2, but when I log in D3, he isn't even in my friend list.

My battletag friends that I added in SC2 that do not show in WoW and D3, regardless of what game they are playing.
My battletag friends that I added in D3 that show in WoW, D3, and SC2, no matter what game they are playing.
My real ID friends that I added in any of the 3 show in all of the 3, no matter what game they are playing.
It seems like somehow SC2 battletag friends get treated differently from the other two by bnet.
3) game-level friend

I believe it was the 3-digit character ID now that you mention it. It's been a while since I've used the SC2 interface.
I guess the reason that it's easy to miss this is, as far as I'm concerned, the only action I take is, right click on the user's name, they get added to my friends list. In SC2, this process immediately adds them as a character ID friend. In diablo 3, this opens up the battletag ID friend prompt, and then adds them as a battletag ID friend assuming that they accept.
It's more than a little confusing. The only process that should concern the players is the right click, add to friends part. Not what type of ID is being used to add them.
