To many scholars, the archangels of the Angiris Council are living representations of the chief virtues of Anu. It is important that we understand that these beings are not like men. They are not made of flesh and blood. They do not age and die as we do.
The ruling body of the High Heavens consists (or, more accurately, at one point consisted) of five members, each representing one of the primary virtues of Anu:
- Imperius, the Archangel of Valor
- Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice
- Auriel, the Archangel of Hope
- Itherael, the Archangel of Fate
- Malthael, the Archangel of Wisdom
Over time, some members of the Angiris Council have left, disappearing from all known record, while others have adopted new mantles (even becoming mortal in the process), changing the virtue they represent. One thing remains constant, though: they each have their own unique strengths, flaws, and personalities.
Of the council members, which one is your favorite? Do you champion Valor, the warrior host of the High Heavens? Or Tyrael, the wielder of the mighty sword, El'druin? Perhaps you find yourself drawn to Hope or Fate instead, or maybe the mystery of Malthael has lured you in. Let us know by voting below!
